Samir Soni aka Kunal Chopra' of Parichay' fame is all set to mark his re-entry on TV screen with a new show. This time the show isn't any drama or daily soap, but a genre, quite different to his league.

Khauff' is a supernatural thriller, which will have Samir Soni in the lead, as a paranormal researcher. The actor did confirm his presence in the show and spoke about his character. The actor was quoted saying that his character will display a mysterious shade, which will be quite an interesting one to play. He said his character will be quite dark and cynical, someone who doesn't have much faith in supernatural activities and therefore will go on investigating about them.

The bi-weekly saga has been reportedly said to have 12 episodes, which will showcase a new story in each one. The show is made by the makers of Fear Files-Darr ki sachchi tasveerein', who have said that the show will go on air in Oct-Nov, 2013.

Samir Soni will be joined by Abigail Jain and Megha Gupta in the leads. The actress Megha Gupta will play the role of Samir's wife on screen, while Abigail will be on the investigative team. The show, which will deal with paranormal activities and investigative journalism is also said to have roped in actor Manoj Verma, for a pivotal role in the show.

Manoj will play the role of Jaffer', which is said to have been inspired from one of Hollywood's famous roles, done by Johny Depp. He will working for an investigative agency, who deal with solving paranormal cases, but in a scientific way. The actor was heard saying that his role was more of a Sufiana avatar'.

No idea about what the actor meant, but the actor's association with big shows like Swabhimaan' and Crime Patrol' definitely make him look choosy about his roles, which is quite promising! Even Megha Gupta, who was last seen in paranormal shows like Aahat' and Fear Files' does look fitting for such a show.

Anyway, people are excited to just catch a glimpse of their favorite actor Samir Soni' another time, in a power packed role on screen.

Let's just hope with Khauff', Samir Soni gets a thumbs up and we, as audience get to see something genuine and substantial on paranormal, rather than watching another futile attempt of the Indian version of X-Files' on Life OK.

@ Red - Well said, we are all just too excited to see Samir back on Screen that the story, genera or the remaining star cast hardly matters although having powerful dose of all of the above 3 combined with Samir Soni's presence in the show doesn't hurt either😳😳

@Blue- Lets hope that Khauf is able to change the horror genera on Indian Television with an impressive star cast and gripping story line👍🏼
