John may statistically be doing better than his previous work, but the craze and star value that he used to have is over. Giving successful films is not the only aspect of being a superstar. Even Hrithik has had his huge flops and limited hits, but he's still iconic.
John is not iconic in any way. He will continue to do well and be around. I mean, for someone as untalented as him to be in the industry for almost 10 years is surely an achievement. But he will never be a "superstar". As far as I am concerned After Hrithik, the next superstar is Ranbir. All the rest are just gap fillers, strugglers or up and coming.
I just hate when people base superstardom on the fact of box office. I understand its important but its not everything. In that right Asin is one of the bigger stars we have. The truth is shes not, she as AS much star power and fans as Jadu from Koi Mil Gaya
Being a super star is a combination of many things...your personality, your star power and fan base is the most important...Of course then its talent and acting...and Box office is just the icing on the cake and not that cake itself.
