Mystery Behind KS Destruction

I was wondering today after seeing the illogical/insensible episode today that what has happened with the KS creative team for the product quality to have gone down so much. Sandip Shikand was great but he was only one person, and I feel a lot of people together put forth a product like KS, so while his leaving would have an impact, it does not answer the total destruction that we are seeing on our screens.

Illogical storyline - 3 months old babies delivered

Character assasination - massi doing her son's shraddh

No continuity - drugging revealed and no reactions from anyone

No storyline - what is the story now?

It seems like they have completely lost control of the whole show.

SOme thoughts that come to mind:

1. Has ekta had a fallout with Zee?

2. Has there been some changes in the creative team?

3. Are they waiting and watching for KBC?

4. Holidays of actors? but RK does not go till mod march and PD exams are for a week or so.

SOmething is definitely wrong. Sandip Shikand leaving cannot be enough cause for such complete rubbish. Any thoughts guys?

I was thinking the same thing... how come suddenly the show has become beyond pathetic... I mean earlier I used to wait for it to be 9 so I can watch kasam se but the 4 days or so im like whatever... it doesnt matter anymore.
I think alot of things contribute to the weak story
a) Obviously changes in the creative team
b) All the actors have been taking time off due to their personal stuff.. like Rk going to Goa, Roshni chopra getting married, Siddarth aka ranveer loosing his father, Prachi giving her exams, Roshni going on Honeymoon, RK and Prachi going for the zee carnival to UK and then Rk again going on leave next month for family vacation..Since the actors are busy they are focusing on alot of unimportant stuff and dragging the show... also they are using body doubles instead of the actors which kills the chemistry and intensity of the scenes... I hope mid-march once Rk comes back from his trip the shows starts picking up again and the actors are rejuvenated and are all present
c) Garry Bindra was the orginal director of Kasam se but has been shifted to Kahani Ghar Ghar ki in order to push up the TRPs post the generation leap. Garry was doing wonders for Kasam se. I hope Ekta puts him back in KS
d) I think they are waiting for KBC to loose some of its initial hype before pushing the story along fast

From what I have read on Kasam Se, in the Indian TV industry KS is
referrd to as Sandip Sikand's Baby. He was not only the Creative head but
also the vision (providing the concept..etc.etc.)behind KS. He had his own
team. He even conceptualised shots, edited the show &had an idea where
to take this show and he knew his characters. Since that NB lady come on
board with her ONS track, (need I continue--the results are before us).
SS knew his "Baby" inside out.

how long do they plan to let the initial hype of KBC die?

ANd will they have enough viewers hanging around by the time RK is back from his vacation or whoever it is who is gone...

I am seriously not sure who is calling the shots for KS these days...coz this person needs to get things back to where it was...instead of serving us this cr**....

Meghna, you bring up some awesome points! After reading your thoughts, I began to wonder whether Kekta really did have a fallout with Zee?! Imean it seems like she just doesnt care about KS anymore or its success. But on the contrary, she loves RK and PD; and loves them so much she wouldnt want to see them fail- at least I hope not.

It seems like the creatives are changing daily as are the directors. I dont know where I read this, or if it was correct, but I heard that Gary Bindra was back to direct KS a little while ago.. not sure if he left again..

Yea. I really like all the reasons and causes you gave. I think that either the creative team has been changed or there is some problem with Ekta and Zee TV. Whatever the reason may be, the show shouldn't be affected at all!

It looks like J-P-B track is in limbo. They just got the drugging truth out so that Pia would be out of WM and RC could go on vacation. After that the filler R-R track has been introduced coz of RK/PD's limited availability. Its almost as if the story was on a different track till the episode in which the truth came out. After that it moved to a completely new direction with no continuity. Are they thinking they will start from wherever they left once the actors are back. Surely a case of complete lack of planning. Actors do have personal lives and these things will always be there.

SS left KS way back ...i think sometime last year. Yes the show was never the same since but I think it has reached its lowest ebb now in terms of logic and continuity.

KBC could also be a reason. Maybe they just assumed that KS could not be competition enough for KBC anyway so continue to show crap till that time and get it on track later. I hope they realize that it is very difficult to recover lost viewership.

Yes, SS left last year, he was replaced by NB, the person currenlty in
charge. With SS, the whole mis en scene of KS left with him. In any type
of a creative field or any business field when the person in charge who
has a vision of a product they want to produce, they are the only ones
who are capable of manifesting that product. Their signature is written
all over that product..(a haute couture dress by Chanel will not have the
same feel and material as the same dress bought at H&M-quality wise no
comparison). Now one can replace the Creative head if that head has an
innate understanding of the product to be produced. However, when one
takes a look at the TRP's of KS when SS was on board to now--you are
looking at TRP's of 6,5,4,3.9-Those TRP's put Zee TV and KS on the map
and now if one looks at what is happening in trp language these ppl are
just trying to sustain KS in the top ten not by gaining new veiwers but by
enticing the already lost veiwership back...Does any of this make sense?
Problem lies with Zee in approving such bs episodes to be shown on their
channel. Zee can very well put their foot down and say enough is enough
but again u c KS is in the ten and Zee is getting its ad revenues...

great point of view by all here. yes... some how even i feel a lack of chemistry between RK and PD too. their facial expression are kinda' boring and they seem to be dragging themselves out of the bed everyday morning and do all their scenes with lack of interest, in a sort of listless way. not only these 2, others also seem the same to me.

I actually feel bad for these actors. I think, the lack of family time, ample vacations, etc. are telling on their faces. Actors are like novelist or artists. they need to be rejuvenated and replenished to look good on screen and give a good performance. that vibe and energy thats was intially in the show seems totally absent now.

anyway... who is going to listen to us...!!
