Prachi in a car accident!

What was supposed to be a rehearsal turned into a disaster of sorts on the sets of Zee's Kasamh Se. Prachi Desai aka Bani was sitting in a car for a shot and was supposed to step out of the vehicle as the director gave his cue.

However, when the time came, the driver started driving the car at the same time that Prachi was stepping out. This resulted in the actress's leg coming under the wheel and getting severely injured.

Miscommunication

Currently resting at home with her right foot completely bandaged, Prachi says, "It was one of the scariest experiences I have gone through. In fact, I have become afraid of cars now." Describing what happened, she says, "We weren't actually doing the real take, it was a rehearsal.

I was sitting inside the car and was supposed to come out of it looking at the camera. However, the minute the director said 'action', the driver too started moving the car. As a result of this, my right foot came under the car tyre. It was the most painful experience ever."

Prachi was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where she was administered first-aid and her foot was bandaged. "I've now been advised bed rest for a week. I want to get well soon so I can resume work," she says.

Usually Prachi has her mother giving her company on the sets. However, she wasn't around when the accident happened. "My mom was busy with some work at home. I am glad she wasn't there to witness my accident."

Prachi Desai (Bani of Kasamh Se) recently met with an accident on the sets of the show. Prachi had to step out of a car after it had stopped. But, in what seems to be another case of fatigue due to a grueling schedule, Prachi was in a daze while shooting for the scene. The result being, she steeped out of the car even before it stopped and hurt herself.

Prachi's mother Anita Desai says, "Prachi has had quite a hectic schedule in the past few days. She goofed up and ended up injuring herself while shooting for Kasamh Se. Even she says that she is not aware of how it happened. As she stepped out before the vehicle stopped, the rear wheels of the car peeled the skin of her leg and caused a deep wound in her leg. She was rushed to a hospital in Juhu and was immediately treated. Fortunately there is no fracture, but the swelling is quite prominent and painful."

Prachi is one of the youngest and also one of the busiest actors on television. The actor is simultaneously appearing for her higher secondary examination in Pune and shooting for Kasamh Se in Mumbai. Moreover, she is also preparing for a channel event that will happen in London next week.

Anita Desai adds, "Now Prachi is taking rest. The tour to London may be postponed depending on how fast her condition improves."

An executive producer from Zee TV says, "Prachi has been advised seven days of rest. We find situations like these quite difficult as Prachi is the lead in Kasamh Se and it is a daily soap. We will put Bani's track on the back burner till Prachi recovers."
