Recent spate of ambitious productions has raised hopes that the moribund movie industry may be on the verge of a renaissance after productions like Main Hoon Shahid Afridi , Waar, Operation 021, Zinda Bhaag. And now comes news of Saqib Malik making a directorial debut on silver screen after Jami and Bilal Lashari in an yet unnamed film and considering Ali Zafar as lead for the venture. Saqib, has directed commercials for a wide range of big brands also directed acclaimed Fuzon's music video Khamaj.
Though, the two worlds - advertising and feature films - may have different approach towards storytelling, there are immense similarities as well.
