Im really liking this story. its strange to see such different lifestyles in the same screen. which is actually true of India. on one hand you have the village scenario which is depicted very truly. not too much of poverty shown... lots of fields and playful kids and generally open spaces.
on the other hand is the ultra modern city lifestyle. actually not the typical city dweller, but the upper end, party going elite. they have no touch with the mundane daily chores. they are bothered only about their social circles. and they enjoy it so much. (like the nani says that villages have such terrible open spaces and cities have such wonderful buildings upon buildings).
I am a city born person who is married and live in a very small town. when the milk is too thick or watery, my mil wonders what the cows are being fed... is it green grass or dry hay? In the city, which gets its milk in packets or tetrapacks, no one even mentions the cow!

my views have changed in the past few days. On reading my post again, I realised that im missing the point. I feel the village girl like lajjo has disappeared, replaced by one who watches too much of tv and movies and generally doesn't think much of living in villages. she wishes for a better life in the cities. this is the reality. The youth go searching for greener pastures (pun intended). It doesn't rain much, there is less income. And mind it , im not talking about poverty here.
People in indian villages live there out of necessity and rarely for the luxury of its natural surroundings. The number of villagers who enjoy getting up early in the morning and going to work in the fields is definitely dwindling.

Yes the CVs had done a good job by giving importance to both the

life styles :) , Village life is wonderful in its own place and same with the

city life as well

Agree, I feel like Lajjo's family & village people are more happy, live without stress than the city people & it's kinda a reality nowadays, whereas city people are happy with what they hv, busy with work & all...
I like how the cv's are showing the contrast between the city life-style & the village, also between the family, well done. It's really beautiful 2 see that fields, cows, I loved when the whole Nikhil-Lajjo walk in friday's episode! 😊

I hope CVs will keep it the way it is, good post by TM.
I live in a village in US, and I see cows, horses, pigs, chickens etc. lifestyle in US, Is same in village as it is in the city, only difference is less noise and pollution. Sad part is we are the only Indians in this village but neighbors are good.

Now that you mention it, lifestyle here in indian villages too has less noise and pollution. where facilities are concerned, maybe we get all the basic needs in nearby small towns.
But now im feeling, that Lajjo kind of characters are rare these days. the pure unspoilt village girl has been replaced by one who watches too much of tv and movies, thinks of leaving the village for a better life in the city, not too concerned with the little joys that nature gives. seems im getting a bit disillusioned since the time of my post.

You are right it is hard to get such innocence. Lajjo is a unique character.

I hope with Agriculture University, youth will take interest in agriculture, in US, I have heard good views about India's Agriculture and same thing they are trying to use in Africa .
