Saiyaara Male lead is overrated!!!
22 years of Hungama
Zoya tossed under her frilly white covers for the millionth time that day. Asad's uncaring words ran through her mind repeatedly, torturing her soul. She finally sat up, letting out a soft squeal of frustration as she did. Hiding out in her room and driving herself crazy was absolutely pointless. She needed to speak to Asad directly and sort this out once and for all.
She swung her legs off the bed, kicking the covers aside as she did. She caught sight of herself in the mirror at her dressing table, and quickly ran her hand through her messy hair. Maybe she should wash up before confronting Asad, there were obvious tear streaks running down her cheeks. She dragged her feet to the bathroom and pushed the door open, just to find her whole bathroom floor totally wet and slippery. She frowned deeply as she looked around to find the source of this influx of water, and finally stopped when she found a trail of water seeping through one of the corners of the ceiling. So the thunderstorm outside was busy flooding her bathroom with rainwater huh? Well, wouldn't this be an interesting thing to tell Mr Architect Ahmed Khan.
Suddenly finding renewed strength in the fact that she had something up her sleeve to snub Asad with should he stick to his nakli nikaah mantra, Zoya marched out of her room determinedly, slamming her room door behind her as she did. This would be fun after all.
Tanveer happened to be standing at the top of the stairs, rubbing her eyes in shock as she watched Zoya walk out of her room. Finally! She'd been waiting for this wonderful opportunity all day. She clasped her hands together and looked up in thanks before bounding down the stairs. She waited to make sure Zoya was sufficiently occupied with staring at Asad's door before she sneaked into her room behind her.
Once inside, Tanveer closed the door and breathed a sigh of relief. She had beautifully planned to throw a live wire into Zoya's bathtub since the time she came home from the market, and she'd been almost successful too, by dropping the wire into Zoya's bathroom window. Unfortunately, she hadn't dropped it in properly, and it was now hanging next to the bathtub instead of inside it. All she needed to do was grab the wire from the inside and put it into the bathtub, but Zoya had made it impossible for her to do that since she'd chosen to laze around in her room the whole day. Now she'd finally left and Tanveer was finally free to complete the last stage of her brilliant plan.
Zoya stood outside Asad's door in deep thought, still unsure if she should talk to him or not. She had just raised her fist to knock on his door when she realized that she never knocks on his door anyway, why should she start now? She took a deep breath and pushed Asad's door open without warning, barging in just as she usually does. This time though, Asad happened to be standing right in front of his door to begin with, and Zoya found herself walking right into him before she could stop even herself.
Asad stumbled backwards as he felt Zoya's body crash into his, caught completely off-guard. He dropped the kurta he was about to put on from his hand and wrapped his arm around her waist instead as he fell backwards onto the hard ground, pulling Zoya along with him as he did. Zoya's hair swept over his face as she fell, and Asad instinctively breathed in and took in the fruity smell of her shampoo. Her head finally landed on his bare chest with a soft thud, her hair fanning across his chest and tickling him as she shifted and tried to lift her head up.
Asad smiled at Zoya amusedly as soon as she made eye contact with him, but Zoya returned it with a glare. He raised an eyebrow at her strange response. Well, she was the one who barged into his room without warning, so technically he should be the mad one. What was she so unhappy about?
"Are you okay?" Asad asked in his signature way, pushing the strands of hair falling over Zoya's eyes away with his thumb. Zoya found her glare melting away easily as she drowned in his intense gaze. It took her another few seconds to realize she was lying on his naked torso, and her cheeks immediately turned a deep red. She hoped Asad didn't catch that. She quickly placed her palms on the ground on both side of Asad's head, pushing herself off of his body. But the Asad's grip on her waist turned out to be stronger, making her falling back onto his chest, her lips slightly grazing his bare skin as she turned her head at the last moment to land on her cheek. She didn't miss his sharp intake of breath at that point, making her suppress a giggle of delight.
"Allah miyan, what's wrong with you Mr Khan? Chodo mujhe," Zoya said crossly, or at least she hoped she sounded sufficiently cross. She felt Asad loosen his grip on her waist and took the opportunity to push herself off properly this time, brushing her shirt down once she was back on her feet. Asad stood up soon after as well, picking up his kurta and putting it on while Zoya straightened up.
Asad crossed his arms across his chest and stared at her quizzically. Zoya gulped and racked her brain as she stared at his handsome face, realizing how much she'd missed it only after one day of attempting to avoid him. Damn, just staring at him made her lose focus, and she thought she was prepared enough to talk to him. Oh right, talk to him. About what exactly? Zoya scrunched her forehead in confusion, trying very to remember what it was. Why had she come here again?
Tanveer pushed Zoya's bathroom door open and almost stepped in when she realized the whole floor was wet. She rolled her eyes in frustration. She knew Zoya was naturally messy, but this messy? This was verging on disgusting. She really couldn't understand why Asad was so enamoured by her. Tanveer slipped off her shoes and stepped into the bathroom barefoot. She couldn't possibly walk in with her shoes on, it would leave wet marks all over the house later and then everyone would know she was in Zoya's bathroom. This way, she could just drop the wire into the bathtub and then come back out and slip her wet feet into her shoes and walk off. No one would ever know that she was ever there at all.
"Woh main... mere bathroom mein leak hai, yeh kehne aayi thi. Aise hi nahi aayi aapke kamre mein, mere kamre ko chodke. I mean mera kamra hi accha hai..." Zoya blabbered defensively, unable to find the courage to say what was really on her mind. The amusement on Asad's face immediately switched to a frown.
"Aapka kamra... bathroom mein leak? Come with me," Asad said concernedly, before grabbing Zoya's hand and dragging her to her room in a rush. Zoya rolled her eyes in response. Looks like Mr Perfectionist Ahmed Khan was unable to digest the fact that his house was in fact not as perfect as he thought. He'd just have to see for himself then!
Tanveer tip-toed towards the window where the wire lay in wait and grabbed it, her glee increasing with every passing second. She tugged at the wire so that more of it came through the window and gave her enough slack to drop it all the way to the bottom of the tub. She stared at the end of the wire she was supposed to drop, an evil smile spreading across her face. Zoya's end was near, finally!
Asad pushed open Zoya's bathroom door without warning, just to find Tanveer standing near the bathtub. He watched Tanveer turn around in surprise because of his and Zoya's sudden arrival, accidentally dropping a wire she had clutched in her hand onto the wet ground below her. A strange zap seemed to run through her body as she fell, her body crumpling on the floor in a series of spasms. It took Zoya's shriek of panic for Asad to finally tear his eyes away from the frightening sight in front of him and call the ambulance.
