Is it such a crime to believe that marriage is a lifetime bond? Why should a girl's faith and desire to maintain the sanctity of marriage be broken? It is not like she is judgmental and going around shooting everyone who betrays the institution. All she wants is a lifetime bond and she longs to honour it. Is that such a big crime!? If tomorrow Zoya were to marry a psychopath, a rapist or an axe-murderer, would she stick to the marriage? If she were a victim of domestic abuse, would she stick to the marriage for a lifetime still?
What exactly is Gul's point here? That people should not ever feel that marriage is for a lifetime? That people should stick to unhappy marriages? If it is the opposite, this was hardly the track! The story should then have been one of a woman who suffers untold oppression because of her belief that marriage is sacred and cannot be broken. Later, she realizes that self worth and happiness are far mor important than a man-made insititution like marriage and finds the courage to walk out.

Maybe this track is about how people are forced by muqqadar ( the dreaded word) to eat their words! What was so wrong with her words then in the first place?
