I don't think anyone is nave enough to disagree with the facts about the India that article has provided to suggest that it's a long way to go. But I find the tone of the article in rather bad taste. (I really don't mind the picture of a hungry child; our well respected movie directors have shown worst to world in the name of "art"!) Unfortunately this article ridicules aspirations of Indians. "India is not a superpower, and in fact, that is probably the wrong ambition for it, anyway." That's pretty immature writings, but then may be Murphy wants to stir the pot and make her writings more inflammable. Anyway, hopefully she would realize sooner or later that 1.3 million Google hits doesn't represent a country of billion and people in India are much more realistic than few newspapers surveys and articles.

if our own country men dont care for ur country if they themselves ridicule it then y blame the poor writer?

there is no country which cosent have poor people or is totally prosperous but to play on ones weak points and to ridicule their draws backs is definately unacceptable and our own country men cant understand this then y make a big issue abt jade goody or joulies' body guards?
they r doing a good job keep it up!!!!!!!!!!!!! 👏

if we should not take offence on wht is written over there if they r true then even what we say abt the american culture of it being too much open and not acceptble then even that should not be offending in anyway.nor that US pokes its nose in every issue like how indo-pak should solve their problems, iraw issue afganisthan thing, saddam hussain things hiroshima nagasaki and the list continues.........
first people should see what they r and then preach others.
