Deepika Padukone: 'I'm excited to see myself in 3D'

Deepika Padukone has said that she is "extremely excited" to see how her first 3D film will turn out.
The actress features opposite South Indian star Rajinikanth in Kochadaiyaan, India's first motion-capture project.
"The technique of motion capture took me a few days to understand. Until you start doing it and you begin to see how it functions, it is a challenge. I'm extremely excited about how it will turn out and to see myself in 3D," Padukone told Ashanti Omkar, Indian cinema editor for Cineworld cinemas.
Vidya Balan and Katrina Kaif were earlier considered for the role of the female lead in the period-fantasy love story prior to Padukone's casting.
The actress went on to speak about working with Rajinikanth: "Rajini Sir is so grounded, humble and down to earth. No words that I say will ever be enough to describe what a big star he is.
"He's like a kid on set, so excited about what to do next. What I will always take back from this film is much more than the three days working with him," she said.
"It is what a warm and humble person he is, for everything he is, as a superstar."
The first trailer for Kochadaiyaan is launched on Monday (September 9).
