Shakti Singh...My POV today's Epi

From today's episode I am convinced that it was all a case of miscommunication and mismanagement in the family that led to the fallout later!

The way Shakti lashed out at that ill behaved guard showed how much he was attached to his father and how he could not tolerate any BS against him.

We have quarrels in families. But from within we all are attached to our families and can't take any BS from outsiders on our own kin.

US never communicated his admiration or sympathy or any emotion towards Shakti. And sadly, Shakti kept longing for father's recognition and love yet he also did not communicate how much he valued him.

What happened in tonight's episode is just unfortunate! 😭

And I can't believe US is still fixated on words of the astrologer to him about Shakti! Why didn't he jump in rage at the astrologer's prediction? Why didn't he say he'd do any pooja or upaay to prevent this? 😲

US won't listen to Shakti's side of the story. Damned servants and guards plus that astrologer's BS will again kick aside the father within him, fire his ego and lead him to punish or eliminate Shakti and see him as a threat to be dealt with!

Shakti will be embittered forever. 🤔

From today's epi we come to know dat Shakti wasn't bad at heart, it was d injustice nd bias treatment he got from his father since childhood made him bitter. But still he got angry and attacked dat nasty soldier Bcoz he talked rubbish abt his father. At that time he didn't thought how US loves Pratap more (dats wat Shakti thinks) Bcoz no matter wat Shakti still somewhere loves his father, his father's insult hurts him. He has his own way to react. That's y he attacked dat guy.
If he was Pratap then I m sure he wud have never raised his hand onsoldier.
But Shakti is Shakti and he doesn't need to b like Pratap.

I really loved Shakti today in dat Jail scene. But d way he behaved later in d epi wid Pratap was arrogamnce .
He wasn't even Listening to His mother, if he respects her he shud listen to her
And dat brothers fight, I liked it. Shakti was fighting Bcoz he didn't want any favor from Pratap where Pratap was fighting to save Shakti from future troubles, to bring him back in good light.
Even in d fight when he realized he is holding Shakti's injured hand he released it but wat Shakti did??? He kicked him on his injured leg. Is this justified?? Why was he taking out his anger on Pratap?? I know eberuone loved Pratap but dat doesn't mean he will hate his brother to this extent.

And for this I won't blame Shakti. I will blame Sajja Bai and US.
US is a king , so he has many responsibilities , so it happens dat he favours Pratap bcoz he is a good boy but dat doesnt mean he doesn't love his other kids, he fails to show dat love for Shakti . He had tears in eyes in dat darbar scene.
King doesn't cry for guilty ppl, d one whose eyes got wet was Father.

Shakti attacked men Bcoz one of them said bad abt his Daji Raaj but then y he didn't do wat Pratap asked him to do to go back to jail?? Didn't he himself insulted his Daaji Raaj?? Forget wat Pratap said, wat abt US wants to do for him??
Isn't this d duty of Sajja Bai to stop her son from being so regid? Y she h didn't slapped him when he was doing all non sense??? Pratap is Maharana Bcoz of his mother, she made him so...

And Shakti became Shakti Bcoz Sajja failed to guide her son. It's responsibility of both mother nd father to make their child as a good human. And in dat , mother always plays a gr8 role. Check our hstoryu will find many such examples.

Shakti is a gray character here, whom u can't love but u can't hate as well...

Today's episode laid the seeds of future

But when Akbar told he plans to attack chittodgarh fort Shakti went back and warned his father of impening attack. Hence Udai Singh shifted to Udaipur and Aravalli hills. Shakti also saved Pratap's life in Haldighatti war by killing Mughal soldiers following him and giving his horse for Pratap to escape before entire Mughal sena reached that place.

But Prince Salim(Jehangir) came to know truth that Shakti saved Pratap's life and he asked him truth so Shakti confessed that he killed the mughal soldiers and saved Pratap as he could not stand and see his brother dying in front of his eyes. So Salim told him to leave the Mughal Court and go back to Pratap and did not arrest or tell Akbar about it(not sure why details not provided?). Only when shakti captured a fort on the way to udaipur did Akbar find that Shakti had deserted him.

Sagar Singh felt guilty of siding with Akbar against his brother Pratap and stabbed himself in Akbar's durbar.

Jagmal died fighting for Akbar in war

So shakti is not as bad as being potrayed in serial. He just was angry that his father did not give him attention and love and abused his mother that's it. He did not have issues of Pratap becoming a King he only had issues with his father. If he really wanted to be king he could have not saved Pratap and become a vassal king of Mughals for Mewar. But that was not his intention. He was just angry that the love he had for his family was not reciprocated by them back to him that's it.

If you observe Pratap's mom is also illtreated by Udai Singh but Pratap has not let that affect his psyche like Shakti. Whereas Shakti is an emotional person and takes everything to heart and does not forget it and starts fighting.

I always maintain that Shakti has his own set of qualities and his issues are with Udai Singh and not as much with Pratap.

Pratap is not affected by ill treatment of Jaywantabai because as per this show he is not even aware of his Rani ma's suffering! He is naive and cannot sense anything being possibly wrong unlike Shakti. Pratap is even happy with the fact that Udai Singh listens to Bhaatiyani even if he won't listen to anyone else. He doesn't see any issue of discrimination in treatment towards his own mother or Sajjabai.

But Shakti is more perceptive towards such differential treatment and he finds it frustrating.

Even in jail last night, Shakti was willing to talk to Pratap and even invited him to have dinner with him. He was not being sarcastic earlier. And his rudeness is mostly a result of his own frustration at his failures and inability to change Rana ji's perception of him, than envy at Pratap's success.

If Shakti left to join Mughals it was due to US. And if he helped Pratap and risked his own life to save him, then it was the result of their inherent attachment towards each other as brothers. Shakti must have realised that he could not be bitter towards Pratap due to issues with their biased father.

I am curious about Sagar Singh! I have read about him too. I wonder who he was? Was it another person? Or another name of one of the princes shown in the serial? 😲

Udai Singh is a highly flawed character and I am always surprised how he got a son like Pratap!
