Known for her acting chops and playing varied roles in her career, actress Narayani Shastri, will now be seen in a role she has never played on the tube.

She will be seen as a cop in Star Plus Arjun. She will help Arjun nab a serial killer. She is returning to the tube after a gap of five months since her show, Phir Subah Hogi, went off air in March. She also featured in Sanskaar, which airs on Doordarshan.

Talking about her role, Narayani says, "I will help Arjun nab the serial killer and thus solve the case. It's a special character which will be seen in just one episode of the show. It's the role of a cop that prompted me to accept it. It's great fun to play a cop and bully people. I had played a cop in a movie, which unfortunately couldn't get completed."

So, when does she plan to return with a full-fledged role? "I like to take up shows, which excite me and give me the kick to play the part. I have taken up shows which have added a new dimension to the actor in me and taken my grap a notch higher. I am waiting for such a role to be seen again on the tube," answers the actress.
