Hey guys <3 first of all I'm really sorry and no I didn't abandon this story ! Firstly it's my first FF so I'm kinda nervous n secondly my Uni opened! So I'm busy with it. Thirdly, I have decided to join my dads office too for experience which I need as I have only one year left n this experience will help me for my job recommendation.
This story is amazing in my head, the relations, the pain& emotion is amazing in my head until I start penning it down, I get nervous how to start n end it.
I'm sure you guys will bear with me. I may be late with update but I will not abandon this FF.

Chapter 3
"KHUSHIII"
It bought him back to reality, forced him to remove his eyes from her n turn around, until he saw his best friend running towards them and pulled her out of his embrace and hug her tight, kiss her forehead in concern, never letting her go.
He never really saw his best friend like this, not even for her .
A girl who was laughing a while ago, playing with the kids... Now stood in his best friends arms trembling, with a strange fear in her eyes. who was she? she was definitely not what his brain said. Well... I guess the answers to his questions were not going to make him wait any longer...
" Khushi what on earth were you doing up there? And Radha... Where were you? I let the kids in here because you enjoy around them but not at cost of you Khushi! What if Arnav was not here! And you Radha tell the driver to drop the kids back to orphanage. And you Khushi go back in, will talk to you later" said Aditya, he did scream at her, the rage was there but in no time the concern replaced that rage.
Just when Aditya finished, Arnav saw her walking away without even giving him one look at him. He stood there wishing she looks at him just once, but even before he realized, she disappeared... Until he turned and kept his whole attention to his best friend. Waiting for him to start...
" so... Who is she Aditya? Last thing I would believe is you to find someone else other thn Aliya" said Arnav with seriousness " because I know before you do that, you won't be standing here talking to me, I would be sitting on your funeral having biryani you see" said Arnav, making Aditya smile.
Aditya lighted up and turned to his best friend and hugged him tight " dude lets walk in its pretty hot today don't you think?" Said Aditya and both left inside.
"So? I know you and this family since I was a kid. I know you don't want to talk about her but she was the only sister you had, nor you have any female cousins... And how come you never talked about her all these years?" Waited Arnav for his answers.
" 5 years is a long period Arnav" said Aditya with small smile, Arnav didn't really get what he was trying to say. 5 years? What was the connection with this girl? Khushi... " 5 years ago... Arnav, that night didn't just change your life. Our life. But there was another soul, another life" "life?" He said with a mock laugh.
" I don't even know if it's even right to say that... " "Aditya? What are you trying to say? Who is she? And stop with riddles because I don't know but ... But I want to know who she is ? And why r your eyes moist talking about?"
Aditya gave a small laugh at his best friends reaction. Aditya and Arnav, two names that were difficult to say it alone. They never really needed words or explanations to understand each other. What happened 5 years back and how this angel entered his life, Aditya would never tell anyone but he didn't even think twice before telling Arnav. This was one of the reasons why he called Arnav here, because some how he thought Arnav has to know... Why but somehow he thought he had the rights to know... Probably because Arnav was his only hope?
"Arnav ... What happened that night... You left.. You went missing just like that, you just disappeared.
The very same night Baba was shattered. He loved her but he loved you equally, maybe more. He knew she was wrong, that night you left he vowed never to see her face again. Baba threw away everything that belonged to her. Honestly Arnav I never had any hope from her. Lavanya.
When she agreed to marry you, it didn't digest me, but I let it happen. You both were mature enough, plus both the families were happy and that's when I had hope. Hope... But from you. That you will change her. And I did start seeing the changes Arnav. I was happy but sadly I never realized all that was a pretense." Stopped Aditya staring at Arnav waiting for him to say anything but he just sat there listening, Aditya decided to continue.
"That night Arnav, I knew baba was broken and the only way he would get peace was Lucknow that's when he asked me to take him there. Where amma belongs.
I was driving, lost in thoughts. Lost how one person ruined everything. So many relations. How one person split 2 families. Families who laughed together always... Until my eyes fell on something, or say someone laying on the road. Just when I put the brake, baba woke up and followed my eyes, we both rushed out the car to the person. Turning her around to see her face, that's when we saw her. Khushi." He said with a whisper at the end.
laying unconscious, on a dark, strange road. Arnav didn't feel right listening to this. Something in him asked him to ask Aditya, what next? Did she faint? Was she ... Hurt? He didn't know why... But for a strange reason he was scared, scared to know more.
He didn't know how and when he got his voice and asked "was she ... Hurt ? Accident?" " accident?" Said Aditya with a mock laugh.
"Arnav seeing her lay there, on an empty road, late night with bloody ripped sleeves, in a long anarkali frock THAT'S IT. It was more thn enough for us to figure out what happened... An angel with broken wings.
That's when I called Aliya and asked her to reach hospital ASAP.
She took her in and examined her.
You know Arnav even though, the picture was clear what she may have went thru but still... Still I was hoping. Hoping for Aliya to come out and tell me what it looks like is not what happened. There ... There was this strange pain in here Arnav" he said with a broken tone, while pointing to his heart at the end. Arnav knew its not easy for him to continue and place his hand on his hand and tugged it, asking him to continue.
" that's when Aliya came out, me and baba rushed to her and asked her whats wrong and what happened. I just continued looking at her, my eyes not leaving her, begging her to tell me it's not what it looks like. That's when she hugged me. Cried telling me she ... She " his voice started choking, Arnav looked into his eyes, he Didn't know why he was begging him to tell him she was fine. Aditya understood and squeezed his hand and said " she was not raped Arnav. She was not! I hugged Aliya in happiness because .. Because she was too young for that pain Arnav... But what she went thru was no less thn any death Arnav ... Aliya said she was harassed! She ... She was tortured Arnav and it was visible on her body. Every mark screamed the pain she went thru."
Arnav never really saw Aditya cry, he was the stronger one among. So who was this person? This Aditya? Who sat infront of him crying for a mere stranger?
"Days passed. Me, Baba and Aliya waited for a week for her to wake up and just once tell us who the animals were. Just once Arnav we wanted to know who dared to hurt her to this extent. Baba never went home, he stayed there waiting for her to wake up." He stopped and looked at Arnav and smiled " I know. You must be wondering why were we so eager for a stranger, but Arnav something just attached us with her, maybe because we know that pain. Baba... Baba knows that pain... I asked baba, when he said he saw Amma's face in her. He said ... He said he felt helpless. Just how he couldn't save amma once... He couldn't save Khushi either. Baba said, he actually begged Aliya to heal her. To wake her up, so .. So he could hug her and tell her he is there, there for her.
Arnav you know me. I was never close to Lavanya maybe because she always pushed me away from her. I didn't exactly lose my sister 5 years back but she was never there for me. She was just babas daughter, but Khushi, I wanted her to wake up and call me bhai so that I can tell her I'm never leaving her alone .
She did wake up but she was no less thn a doll laying on the bed lifeless. We tried talking to her, speaking to her. Asking her what happened but she said nothing.
Aliya decided to take her with her but baba refused baba asked her to get her discharge papers ready as she is coming with us. I was never that happy Arnav! I actually saw hope in Baba's eyes that was missing after Amma was gone.
It was strange Arnav, she didn't refuse to come with us. But She not once asked us to call her family. Even when we tried asking her about her family and if she was from Lucknow, she used to lose it. It was like when ever one mentions her family or Lucknow she just cries. Since thn Baba decided to completely erase that she didn't belong with us. We made sure she felt home.
It took us months to make her feel home. Months to make her comfortable. She completely refused to go out. Aliya always tried to take her out with her but she used to refuse and we never pushed her.
The only men she talks and feel comfortable are me, baba and kaka.
Arnav it's not like she doesn't smile or talk. She does, she is very comfortable with us. Not once we feel that it's only 5 years she came in our life. But Arnav in these 5 years she has become our life. Baba's morning is incomplete until he sees her face. The love I have for her as a brother, a brother who would do anything to protect her, I never got that feel for Lavanya. I never connected to her but Khushi, her one pain suffocates me. The pain of losing her never leaves me Arnav. In these 5 years she is like the one I'm alive for.
"
He Didn't know for how long he has been talking, opening his heart, his pain to his best friend who knew him in and out. " Arnav... Is that tears?" Aditya was shocked. Arnav touched his face and was surprised seeing his eyes moist.
"Adi .. Don't you once want to know about her I mean who were the bas***ds behind all this? N her name ? Khushi? Is that her real name?" Arnav asked.
"We tried asking her name! She never said a word, but as I told u baba saw amma in her, he decided to call her muskaan until we find out her name. But when she finally started opening up, she told us her name was Khushi and that's all she said but we were more thn happy that we finally got to hear the voice we have been waiting for." Said Aditya, paused for a second and said " Arnav I'm waiting for her to share her pain but sadly I know she won't open up to me or anyone because knowing Khushi she won't open up. What ever happened to her Arnav seems like involves her own family or else she would never react hearing the word "family" & ... " Lucknow" " Arnav just shook his head but some how he wanted her to share her pain... Share it with him. but why do I feel I should be the one to comfort her when he opens up? he thought.
Arnav realized something is missing " adi... Shashi uncle? Where is he? I asked you in dubai too to let me know what shashi uncle want to tell me something but he asked me to come back to India... Is ... Is everything fine? And uncle is not even home" asked Arnav suspiciously. He knew Aditya is not telling him something. "Adi I want to meet Baba"
Aditya looked at him and smiled "Lets go"
