As I said Asad might or might not suspect Ayan Zoya relationship for a while. I guess he might MU them and their closeness and since it is already shown that he is unable to tolerate even Ayan next to Zoya even as a joke it's very much possible.
Asad is not completely white since his mind is not clear completely and in thr promk he comes steps into the picture only when he spots Ayan Zoya together as in being jealous.
Now as I said I might be wrong complete but it looks like the rift is for many reasons.it will start from as I said seeing them together .
