Even though Sai Deodhar and her husband Shakti Anand are working together in Ek Ladki Aanjani Si, the hectic shoot schedules and the hustle and bustle on the sets gives them barely time to be together.
To celebrate their second wedding anniversary (January 30), Sai and Shakti decided to take time off away from the sets. They flew off to Mauritius a day before to bring in their special day.
"Last year Shakti was shooting for Ek Ladki... and Crime Patrol. I was busy with Kasautii Zindagii Kay. Somehow, we hardly got time to be with each other. First we decided to go to Bangkok, but then opted for Mauritius. Bangkok is too crowded and we wanted solitude," says Sai.
Surprise, surprise
The couple enjoyed themselves and did a lot of sightseeing as well. "We checked out all the especially the beaches and the volcanoes there." Adds Sai, "I had instructed the hotel staff to decorate our room.
I wanted to surprise Shakti. It was a very romantic moment. I gifted Shakti his favourite perfume — Pasha. He also gifted me perfumes —J'adore and Gucci. We both are perfume freaks."

No 'kid'ding
Sai and Shakti are in no hurry to start a family. "We are right now busy with our careers. When the time is comes we shall definitely have one," Sai smiles.
On the work front, Sai is on cloud nine. "I opted out from Kasautii... because my track was not going anywhere, but I am very happy with my role in Ek Ladki Anjani Si. It's a double role now (Anuradha plus Ananya).
It's strenuous but immensely satisfying. Ek Ladki... was supposed to go off air, but that's not happening because the TRPs have shot up considerably. But yes, I would love to work with Balaji again."
