They do not matchup.
Where you can sort of forgive Kumud seeing as she is kind of helpless in her situation being stuck in marriage, Saras has freedom and it feels like an insult to whatever it was he had with kumud were he to go forth and marry kusum not to mention show any slightest affection that is not brotherly towards her, bearing in mind that she is the sister of the girl he once loved?!
Also they don't look great together.
The story would make no sense if there is any love as it would negate from everything that has come to define the relationship of saras n kumud. The tragic path of solitary reflection is befitting for a man like saraswatichandra not another game in vanity and shallow materialistic love that would occur if he fell in love or married with kusum out of convienience. I find saras (or the actor gautum rather ) expressions to kusum absurdly out of place considering his present dilemma where his love of his life is not his, and in conflict with the fact that kumud saras had such a strong relationship? So what, this immediately dies out because she is married, and he is obeying the social rules, where is his angst, his frustration?
Now granted Slb is following the original yet might I point out the liberties he has taken to adjust things, so why is it necessary to follow that particular aspect, why not tweak the story even further to bring it to a more relatable level, where in reality a good sister would not wish to enter into complications that involve her sis former lover, much less be existing in her shadow- this is where I find kusum role to be ludicrous, she has no identity by which she can define herself except via her didis?! Kusum is gorgeous looking but her role is a failure, I used to have high hopes for her esp to be with sunny and have their own little story but she is infuriatingly one dimensional.

I agree with you except Saras giving signs to Kusum. There aren't any whatsoever from his side. At least I haven't seen anything to suggest that. Saras is meant to be that one woman man who dedicates his life to Kumud. If they play around with that then the show has ended for me because that is one thing they cannot afford to do- show Saras falling for anyone else except Kumud. It took him so long to fall in love in the first place so it would be butchering to suggest otherwise.

they are not boring but pathetic ,disgusting .

and saras has no interest to kusum , his behavior with her just like before .it is kusum who impressed by his normal generous behavior .

But it will turn more pathetic if kusum at all will show any of interest to her ex or would be jiju as saras and kumud share such a strong relation which has no name right now but its too strong than anything .

It's prob kusum who is taking a questionably overt and superfluous interest in her sisters former love, it feels horribly incestual by virtue of everything that had occurred previous to kumuds marriage and I can totally understand why people feel repulsed by the idea. But if saras accepts marriage to kusum especially, than he is no lesser than kusum in that respect considering his previous position where he and kumud shared an enormous/larger than life relationship, that led to him exaltedly professing to all his love for her.
Marriage isn't the be all and end all so why the need to marry? It doesn't make sense from the angle of saras past, consider his faith in kumud and claim to love her and her only. I think by marrying kusum and for whatever excuses he gives, saras would be undoing everything he and kumud had, the sense of eternal love, and if this happens it will only validate the theory that man is a hopeless creature easily swayed by his external circumstances and conditioned to fall into systematic way of living at the end of the day, and that the love he had for kumud was merely superficial
Also the cvs have not handled it well ie the forced chemistry between saras n kusum makes me cringe, it feels too empty as well, makes me lose respect for kusum, whom I used to like a lot

Agree with you...no circumstance would justify Saras-Kusum, but the story seems to be leading there. How can they butcher the lead characters like this?
