qt- regarding the comment "They were also content with the unrest and occasional regional invasion among each other ", well, regional invasion was prevalent in other countries too (eg. instead of the italy we know today, until the 19th century, it was a bunch of city states marauding each other). So we could not have been more content with the ocassional regional invasions than the others who still felt the need to venture out far beyond 😉

well invasionmay benefit the country doing the invasion but not the country being invaded. espacially in the short term and i doubt it would in the long run.
