LOVE TRIGONOMETRY IN BV

True Love actually has no dimension..DIMENSIONLESS...INFINITY ... Infinite love expands in all directions and encompasses all beings and non-beings... It is a deep philosophy that we very rarely come across. Let's look at the manifestations of the other extreme- dimensionless Point' love and other types of Love Bonds' in the matters of the heart :

No dimension love:

LOVE POINT: [A' LOVES A' ONLY! - Zero magnitude in all directions] It starts and ends at the same point...or a person.. like in the case of Saanchi - a NO POINT' love! ...Such people can only love themselves . Even though Saanchi proclaims love for Jagya, If he comes in her way or doesn't yield, she can easily blast him and scheme against him , which she is best at( ditching)!

One dimensional love:

LOVE LINE : [A' LOVES B' but B' may or may not love 'A' ] It represents love of one person to another.. whether that person is loved back by the other or not..decides the type of relation. If it is only one way, it is unilateral (but not a BOND) and if reciprocated, it becomes bilateral and a linear BOND is established [Ashima-Shiv's is Unilateral & the present Shiv-Anandi's is a' Love bond'] A BOND if strong is forever and is not easily broken unless a strong external force is exerted.

In this category, we frequently come across another type : The momentary love- like that of Mahi-Ashima, which is more often than not ,exploitative. God knows if any of the above two has any real feeling for the other or not!

Two dimensional love:

LOVE TRIANGLE: When love affects a three-people circuit, we call it a love triangle It can have many manifestations

case1 - [A' LOVES B' BUT B' LOVES C'] In the context of normal heterogeneous love, both A &C are of the same gender. e g., ANANDI- JAGYA-GOWRI relationship - till Anandi-Jagya clash in the divorce drama and Anandi slaps him!. Here two love bonds existed at different stages of their lives! Right up to their adulthood, ANANDI-JAGYA'S can be thought of as a love bond. Only in the later part of his life, JAGYA got attracted to & entangled with GOWRI... depicted more as a realization / revelation for Jagya in the context of his education and sophistication of a big city...and was completely over whelmed by that . His metamorphosis emboldened him to break that BOND with ANANDI. Of course, JAGYA-GOWRI also enjoyed a love bond ... till their final showdown- here again self realization' of Jagya's wrong assessment of his own ability to cope with the demands of a loving wife(Gowri), who wants all of his husband. To be fair, Gowri's love for Jagya was more un-adulterated.

Case2 " [A' LOVES B' AND B' LOVES 'A' BUT C' ALSO LOVES B'] It is a simple case of a love bond and a disappointment like in the case of Anandi-Shiv-Ashima, unless C' tries to wreck that bond between A' &'B', like Teepri tried to break the relationship of Sumitra- Bhairav.

Again in this category there can be another delicate situation: Hidden or Buried love - At the present juncture of the story, Saanchi deems to love Jagya but Jagya seems to love Ganga, who appears to love him back. There can be eventual disaster when any one of them is asserted...in real life too!

In BV we can also find love polygons with three or more people involved :1. Ashima "2.Shiv -3.Anandi- 4.Jagya- 5.Gowri / 6. Saanchi- 4.Jagya- 7.Ganga. This comprises FOUR love triangles: "1-2-3, "2-3-4, "3-4-5 & "6-4-7 . Finally,

A multi- dimensional affair : A complex polygon

When we look back into the story, as we deduced above JAGYA (No.4) is the central lover ,who was involved in all the cases, except in case of the first triangle ! It doesn't make him any great lover...instead , it shows how fickle-minded or transient he is ! I think the makers of BV conceived his character very cleverly ,so that he could change tacks to chase four girls so far.. ... of course the circumstances enabled him to do so !

All said, I appreciate the way the actor Shashank Vyas lived the character, emoting ,expressing all shades of a shaky & meek personality and at the same time, that of a grownup arrogant, audacious spoilt brat in various crucial situations in the story... Even the fact that many viewers hated his character shows how well he portrayed it. Here is another great actor with a lot of promise!
