The very bubbly, cute and extremely talkativeVrushika Mehta who immediately stole a million hearts after taking up the role of the very popular Sharon Rai Prakash', inChannel V's longest running show Dil Dosti Dance, gets candid with urlremoved about her experiences on the show and lots more!

Tell us about yourself?

I am a very simple girl who loves crying, dancing , sleeping a lot and eating junk food! Also, I hate falling sick but now thankfully I am fine.

What made you chose a career in acting?

Nothing was planned and I just gave the audition because I knew it was a great show and all about dance which I of course love. I never even thought I would get selected but when I got the call I immediately took it up and now here I am!

What challenges have you had to face in your acting career?

When I first started shooting I was always very scared and would cry a lot as getting all the different expressions and dialogues right was a big big challenge but slowly I got used to it and now I can say that I've become much better at everything I do! Also, shooting with Shantanu was one big challenge because he is a very good actor and already settled in, so it did take me some time to cope up, but he always helped me a lot and hence I did manage pretty well.

How does it feel to be part of the awesome D3 team?

Oh it feels awesome! The D3 team has become my family now! I meet the team more often than I meet my parents and family every day. Everyone is very helpful and has always supported and encouraged me right from the beginning. I have made a lot of great friends here and am truly enjoying myself. "Aur yahan pe toh aisa hai ki kabhi Sam meri mom ban jati hai, toh kabhi koi bhai ban jata hain, koi aur papa bhi ban jata hai!". It's just one big family out here aur sab bahut ache hain.

Was it challenging after you took up the very popular role of "Sharon Rai Prakash"?

Of course it was! Sharon's character was already very popular by the time I took it up and so getting used to the way Sharon is, did take me some time but somehow I easily and quickly caught up, with the help of the team. But I must say that I am exactly the opposite of Sharon. No screaming, shouting, jhagda and all and no attitude also, but I am really very happy to be playing the role of Sharon which I have now fully adapted too and I am glad people are liking me as "Sharon Rai Prakash" !

What has your experience been like working with Kunwar and Shantanu?

I used to be very nervous in the beginning but now I am very comfortable and happy shooting with Amar and Shantanu. They both are very good actors, extremely professional and really sweet! Whenever I am shooting with Amar , I am only laughing. "Bahut hasi aa jati hai and he also is always laughing". Also, Amar being the eldest of the lot is very mature and always giving all of us advice on what we can do to get better and helping us out with our dances etc. He is someone you can easily talk too. "Shantanu ke saath bhi I always laugh when we are shooting". He is also very helpful and since we shoot together a lot, he always guides me on where I am going wrong and what I should do to improve etc. Somehow, there are a lot of scenes where I have to shout and yell at Shantanu and I find that really funny and always apologize to him after the scene saying "Arey sorry aise shout nahi karna chahiye tha". He keeps laughing at me when I do that! Initially in the workshops also, Shantanu helped me a lot, aur Shantanu ke saath bhi shooting karne main bahut maza aata hain!

Who is your favorite person from the D3 cast?

I like everyone from the D3 cast! As I said before, the D3 team has become my family now. I get along and enjoy a lot with everyone here. Every single day at shoot is a fun-filled day as some or the other activities are going on at the set and masti toh is always happening! Shooting ke time pe bhi all of us are always joking and fooling around and all the boys toh sab par pranks khelne main hi lage rehte hain! I luckily bonded very well with everyone here and am very happy now. I also miss my Gujju friend Vrinda a lot!

How does your family feel watching you become so popular on TV day by day?

My parents and family are really happy with my popularity now after playing Sharon on D3. Even after seeing me on TV for so many months, my mom toh still gets excited on seeing D3 everyday! She waits for my part to come and then is very happy. My dad just keeps complimenting me without even hearing the dialogues sometimes. I tell him that "dialogue toh sun lo pehle but he just keeps saying very good beta, very good". So overall, everybody is very happy!

Rapid Fire :

What is your typical day like? I shoot from 9-9 everyday, come home and watch some TV, spend some time with my family and then go to sleep! I love sleeping and sleep in any little free time given to me between shots also!

Food you like to eat? Maggie is a big favorite and I love all other junk food like pizzas, burgers and french fries. I also am a big chocolate buff and can actually live on chocolates!

Favorite Gujarati dish? I love Dhoklas.

Favorite Bollywood Actor? Has to be Shah Rukh Khan!

Favorite Bollywood Actress? I love Kareena Kapoor!

When is your birthday? 18th February.

What is your sun-sign? I am an Aquarius.

A line in Gujarati for all your fans? "Tamhe Badha Kem Cho??!".
