I tend to disagree with you out here.. what promotion will a serial get by giving Gannu Bhaiyya to only one of its fan.. It would have been a different case had it been something like what MS did by distributing vada pav on her 2nd birthday..that was a pure publicity tactic (nothing against MS& AA & JJKN .. I'm their diehard fan as well)...There was a book released as well rite?
Also regarding RK, she did not mind Apu not taking her calls at all ..She has always praised Apu as a friend..
Apu is ofcourse shy. Hema was told by one of the crew members of Kaajjal that he is quite shy as he took 1 month to open up with the whole Kaajjal team.I don't think Hema will bluff.This was similar to his inital days with JJKN team.. MS mentioned it in 1 of her interviews also with Bombay times. Also, till date I've not seen or heard neone(not one of Apu's friend) except for MM saying that Apu is Khadoos.

I think Apurva is not Khadoos, though i've never met him but i've these views based on whatever i've read n heard n also the below post by asteroid says a lot...

ok this is my POV , no to create any bad feelings here as Hema is my very close friend and my soul sister .

I said that they were doing publicity for the serial mainly bcoz hema asked her realtive to meet up with apu and yes after a few phone calls she was on , ok fine then where did the SBS crew and the POPKORN land up from all on thier own right on the day hema was meeting with apu in the Kaajjal sets , ok do u think apu himself bought the ganu bhaiyya gift , no one of the crew members did . Theres nothing wrong in doing publicity for the serial as its part and parcel of the game .

As for jyoti , looks like she really got offended by my comments, My intention was not at all towards Jyoti or her meeting apu . My thought behind mentioning her was that if a person , a celebrity can speak to a fan for 45 minutes whom he has never met in his life when he went to have dinner with his wife then there are some who wouldnt think he was that much of an introvert or shy esp of girls . so either he is not that shy or he was being polite

I am not at all saying that he is a khadoos, I too was a arman fan and like apu as a person but these are some points which does create doubts atleast in me on whether he is really what he is or he is being different on camera .

No idea and pls No offense to anyone esp jyoti who is hurt I guess But i just didnt want to take her name as it wasnt related to her at all , it was related to apu's behaviour and his nature which i was hinting at .

I think our comments have been misunderstood. Neither me nor Tina ever meant that Apu is fake or that the article is true. In fact, I tend to take Mumbai mIrror with a pinch of salt; they have always been anti-JJKN and anti anyone related with it. 👎🏼


From whatever I have seen of APu, he comes across as a warm, unassuming person. I have no doubt that his behaviour towards Hema or anyof his fans was genuine. BUT I can't say the same for SONY or the team of Kaajal. Isn't it possible that they saw Hema's visit as a perfect opportunity to get publicity for their show? It's no secret that Kaajal is not doing well. It's also evident that Sony is going out of its way to promote it. IN the last few weeks, we have been seeing its publicity over and over again on Popkorn and SBS: first the Abhijeet singing episode, then the lohri special, and then Hema's visit. So it is more than possible than when Hema's appointment was fixed up, Sandeep Sickand had an ulterior motive. Otherwise how could the Gannu bhaiya be there, all gift-wrapped, and how did the Popkorn and SBS teams arrive there by sheer coincidence? 😉


Regarding Jyoti's meeting with Apu, what Tina means is that if Apu talked to a fan for 45 minutes, then obviously the article is false.......OR he was being nice because he is a celebrity. That second possibility is always there. There is nothing wrong with it, in fact we would expect that from a star. The same goes for ANY star who is nice to a fan, whether the TV actors or the Bollywood stars.


What is striking here is that, Apu DOES NOT always behave like an introvert. He opened up with his JJKN costars after a while and sometimes was a little TOO free with them 😉 , and now it seems the same thing is happening on Kaajal. Another incident that no one can forget was SPA. 🤢 Would any introvert behave like that?

Apu sends out mixed signals sometimes, and its natural to wonder about the real personality of any person who behaves shyly one moment and indiscreetly the next. Again, we are not meaning to criticise. But why do we always have to take things at face value? 😕

Blyton I fully understand the mixed signals. I live with a person sharing the same personality traits. My hubby is an introvert. Having said that he opens up only when he is comfortable... The people he meets are AQUAINTANCES for life... and doesn't make friends easily. He is polite when he meets people( in public places, offices) ... Doesn't answer or return phone calls from anyone other than me.... I wonder like whom...

He is a SAGGY....😆😆😆 too.

Ok, I understood what you gals are trying to say. I'm not the kind of person who judges a person on face value. It's just that I believe in the saying, "Actions speak louder than words". Actually, I didn't mind the PDA in the SPA's as long as Apurva remains faithful to Shilpa. Had he ditched her, only then would I've reacted in the way you people had reacted at that time and would really start doubting the truth behind the above saying.I hate ditchers 😡 😡 😡 .
(Till now there has been no such incident where I would doubt the above saying).

About calling the SBS crew & others, till now I used to think that SBS & others inform Channel authorities about any such happenings before hand so that they could telecast it on their show as these shows are meant for such kind of stuff. May be me thinking the wrong way.. I guess 😕 😕 😕

Actually, the thing that pinches me the most, is the way in which this article is written. Apurva has never been in news for any wrong reasons as far as my memory goes. But, I guess media just loves doing such things. 🤢

i think it was the camera man who asked them to do that. if u watch that closely u will find out.when they signalled shilpa pulled apoorvas hand.even apoorva was looking at the camera.😊

Maybe, but isn't it up to the star to decide what image to project of himself? He could have refused to do that.

Having said that, though I was furious when i saw that footage, on retrospect, it doesn't seem anymore to be worth getting all hot and bothered about. 😆 As i Said before, we should not take things at face value, and his posing with Shilpa for a "smooch" 😕 on camera doesn't prove much. It was done for the camera, and a lot goes n behind the camera that we never get to see.😉

I didn't say he was wrong. I was making a general statement. People ASSUME that he is shy because he often SAYS so, and people sometimes can be mistaken in their own assessment of themselves. I think he's more complex than that, which is not a bad thing at all. But I don't like the way we label people into watertight categories like "humble", "arrogant", "shy", "party animal" etc.....it is such a shallow way to read people.

About the PDA, well, you are right, we have different opinions on that subject, so let's leave it at that.😊
