Salman Khan weight loss: Actor loses 8 kg with new rigorous regime
Bollywood's favourite hero, Salman Khan who is just a couple of years shy of completing 25 years in the industry had been looking a little bloated in the past few months, which had detractors point out gleefully that the first man who made muscles cool in Bollywood wasn't exempt from the middle-age spread. However, it was Salman who had the last laugh, and in a recent TV appearance he looked extremely taut and fit. Mumbai Mirror reported that the actor had lost 7-8 kg recently with a rigorous regime.
At the beginning of the year, he had faced a health scare and doctors had advised him to go easy on the weights. Even his buddy Aamir noticed the evident bloat. He was aware that he had put on some weight. Though the intensity of his workouts reduced for a short phase, he never missed the sessions. Aamir, who was shooting nearby around April pointed it out and told him that he needs to get back to his old physique,' said the source. Not one to take lying downs, Salman chalked up a new strenuous gym plan and a strict diet to get back in shape. He planned his work out sessions divided into cardio sessions and weight training. He goes for cycling or jogging for an hour, dead lifts to improve leg and back muscles. His push up count can go up to 1000 and up to 500 crunches,' the source told Mumbai Mirror.
About Salman's diet, the source added, His diet is very simple, depending on whether he is shooting on that day or not. He eats a lot of fruits and salad's throughout the day. He loves non-veg food like chicken or fish and ensures he doesn't over stuff himself. He prefers to end his day with a soup. The dedicated diet has helped him to get his old physique back.
