Maan's heart went out to her and in a second he was by her side while she clutched on to him as her only hope in a devastating storm that had turned her life upside down and started sobbing, her sobs escalated to cries of agony as if she was trying to tell him about all the agony and pain that she had to endure all the while he was busy sulking. How wrong he had been. He soothed her with his hand running up and down her forehead.

Geet wept inconsolably. Maan held her tight in his embrace and shed those silent tears as if echoing her pain and then he heard her voice come in muffled whisper. Maan had difficulty understanding but on concentrating he heard a single word getting repeated over and over again by her, that was, 'sorry'.


Maan was dumbstruck, he actually couldn't believe that his love was apologizing to him but why? he was flabbergasted and stood still for a while. and then it all dawned on him, she was blaming herself for all that transpired between them. if his hold wasn't tight enough and as if they weren't close enough he crushed her to him and led her inside towards her sitting room.


they sat in silence in the living room couch, both ensconced into each other. several minutes ticked by, both didn't move an inch as if absorbing in each other's warmth drinking in their love and feeling the calm of serenity as if making up for all the lost time and years. their moment of love was disturbed by the ringing of Geet's phone. she was in no mood to acknowledge since she didn't want to miss out any more of Maan so involuntarily the onus shifted on maan and he picked it up. ithe caller id read meers and when Maan said hello somebody shrieked on the other end saying "FINALLY!".

it was Meera Dev's wife who on hearing about the reunion of the love birds from her husband couldn't stop herself from knowing as to how they were doing.

'am so glad finally yo are there, you have no clue as to these past years have been such hell for my friend. she needed you but you were busy sulking in some unknown island of solitude where only your so called friends who were your girlfriends allowed. do you have any clue all those news of you having affairs with so many different females tore at Geet's heart and those pictures at all those parties, each time you had a different female accompanying you. i felt like smothering you but geet was always like life moves on, why should he wait for me, i'll have to pay for all the sins of my father but really felt like murdering you and mr handa. my god how could he do such a nasty thing to his own daughter. you know..." meera would have went on and on had not geet snatched the receiver from maan and ended the call.

on the other end Meera was left flustered at the unceremonious exit over the phone by the mogul Maan Singh Khurana "how rude, god knows what get saw in him. anyways am not bothered how he behaves with me as long as he keeps my friend happy" she finished.


Geet felt ill at ease suddenly, Meera was always a motormouth and once she started talking she was in a habit of spewing in all at a time without taking into account the time place or the people. now she had called in to congratulate them on their reunion and had gone on and on about Maan's various torrid affairs. Meera had been so loud that that even Geet could hear all that she was volleying in at Maan's end while he sat transfixed all throughout her friend's jabbering. yes it did hurt to see her love with so many different women. but somehow she had kept that all buried with all the pain and now this Meera, how embarrassed Maan looked at the mere mention of all those girls.


she got up from where they had been seated while Maan straightened himself up. Geet brushed her hair with her hands and murmuring something dashed over to the kitchen. maan felt embarrassed, he knew geet was hurt and followed her.


while in the kitchen, Geet's hands trembled, she set the coffee mugs at the counter and scampered all over opening always the wrong cupboard bringing out all the wrong ingredients.

Maan noticed that though she had taken out two coffee mugs, one was without a handle, it was broken and instead of sugar, salt lazed on the counter while soya milk looked ominously over at him. the very thought of drinking coffee, sorry tea because Geet in her dazed sense had not realized that she had taken out tea instead of coffee.


So the very idea of drinking tea with soya milk and slat made Maan's stomach churn and he gulped his saliva. but then he thought that for all the pains that he had subjected her to even if she would serve him with poison he would drink that gladly. but here he wanted to make feel comfortable, sice he was the intruder in her entity.
so he moved to the counter where Geet was expeditiously devoted to the task of making coffee for her Maan. while her hands trembled at the knobs of the oven Maan held them in slow tight warm grip. he instantly felt Geet go still while her eyes moved only a few inches above. Maan had discarded his jacket and tie while the top three buttons to his shirt lay open, so when geet looked up she came face to face with his tanned bronze chest. she took in ample of air in to lungs at the sight and somehow keep from looking at Maan.
Maan felt her gazing at his chest and smiled inwardly at the effect he still had upon his lady love.

only a few syllables made their way though the ever so gorgeous mouth of Maan, those were, "they were all rumors"

this made Geet look up, her eyes shone with tender love and as if conveying that she never believed them though her mind always nudged her heart to.

with that Maan brought Geet closer to him and the very next moment without Geet realizing his mouth descended on her. the kiss started as slow and warm soon turned hot and urgent. Maan's mouth moved hungrily over Geet who returned it with equal fervor. soon they were caved into each other.his tongue probed into her mouth asking for her permission while her lips smoothed along his in perfect rhythm. forcing himself to slow down as if to savor the moment, Maan kissed her slow that stirred all the right emotions and Geet's entire being exploded in passion. they were drowned in their passion, soon their hands were busy feeling each other as if reassuring each others presence. the kiss that went long were a means of conveying all the emotions that they failed to put together in mere words. Geet's pain, Maan's hurt their separation it was symbolic to all of it. soon Maan's lips moved to her neck kissing her slow and seductive, Geet moaned in his arms while continued with his slow torture. he kissed her eyes, her nose, licked her ears that had tingle run down geet's spine. She was drugged in Maan's passion and he lost in her. soon geet couldn't feel nay ground beneath her, she was lifted into his arms, while they still kissed. maan led her to the couch where he laid her and came on top holding geet captive in his arms while his lips spelled magic on her. geet turned in his arms and the moment she did so maan crushed her to him molding her hips to his hardened contours.

His very action stiffened Geet and as if jarred out of a lovely dream, she realized what they were doing. Maan who was busy heaving his affection and love upon her was showering her with innumerable kisses suddenly felt Geet struggle against his solid form, unwillingly he loosened his grip on her and looked at her. it was when he peered at those deep do eyes, did he realize what they were upto. and the sudden realization made him want to jump up from his position but in an attempt to do so, his legs that were tangled with Geet refused to move and eventually he landed on Geet that made their chest collide, their eyes met once again and there was sudden electricity the hung across the room. Geet gain tried to make a move, it was slow yet led them both tumbling to the floor, Geet on top of Maan. it felt like some conspiracy was up against them both since they both seemed so disoriented. finally with much effect Maan succeeded in disengaging himself and stood up first, Geet who was busy setting her disheveled dress didn't notice when Maan offered his hand to her.

he cleared his throat and Geet jumped and at that very moment she saw his extended hand towards her. she looked up at the towering figure and gave her hand to him.Maan's face flickered with a naughty smile that was not missed by Geet. she once again turned to leave for the kitchen on the pretext of making coffee for them both when she heard Maan say, " not again!".

he was smiling her heart did somersault seeing him smile after ages, and the reason for his smile was she. but then she didn't realize the reason for his mirth and gave him one of her quizzically puzzled expressions.

"what you didn't realize? don't tell me! i never had too much faith in your culinary skills but your coffee's were always good but what happened?" Maan teased

when geet continued to look clueless he chimed, " Geet we usually make coffee with sugar and milk, as in normal milk in carton not soya milk. coffee's made with coffee powder and not tea. with all that you had gathered on the kitchen counter, i was petrified and rushed to save myself by kissing you"

Geet's nostrils flared in anger when she thundered, " and who on earth do you think would be fool enough to make coffee with the bizarre crisscross of ingredients that you just mentioned, at least i wont do it" she stood her ground

the fiery Geet Handa no sorry Geet Khurana was here to give a tough challenge, he smiled mentally while his eyebrows quirked as if challenge when he said, "see for yourself, I'll not follow you into the kitchen"

Geet stormed into the alien entity as she visited the place only in dire needs or when no body was around otherwise Daijaan always came up and cooked for her. she was mortified beyond shame and embarrassment when she saw the same stuff looking up at her from the kitchen top.as if she had frozen to spot when Maan's voice brought her out of her reverie. she turned around where Maan was standing with 'i told you so' expression written all over his face. instead of acknowledging her defeat Geet snarled, "get lost".
