Mr. Mittal brain washed Sachin not being Manav & Archana's son and whatever he has is only of Manav's. Though they brought him up they are not his real parents and infact he is an illegitimate etc. However hard he tried to forget that, it was haunting him and at that precise time, Archana said Soham will do the pooja (but Sachin was elder and he could have done that, what is so great in dong the pooja first) in any case it was Archan & Manav who did it first. Since he was in dejected mood, he was hurt by hearing that.
Then Sulochana sprayed additional salt on his raw wounds by saying Soham is her son only despite brought up by Varsha and said those words of Khoon ka rishta and quoting Devaki & Yashoda in Lord krishna's life.
All the while his face was paling but no one in the family noticed it.
Since he felt left out or alone, he would have thought about Sandeep's case. Still we are not sure about the case details.
