Today's highlight for me was this dialogue by Sooraj. Sandhya had prepared the karela dish for him. She feels dissatisfied that her dish is not as good as Bhabo's. But Sooraj says it is fine she had done it correctly. Yes sometimes the taste of food is not in the preparation alone , but the effort that goes into preparing it. Sooraj loved it because Sandhya had prepared it for him and her love for him made that dish tastier.
When I saw that scene I remembered when I had prepared sambhar for my husband first time. When I served idli sambhar he had it happily. I was the one who was not feeling happy about it as I felt it was no where near how my mom prepares. Even now when I prepare rasam and sambhar I always feel it to be inadequate though I have received praise from not only my husband but also many of his friends for combination of dosa and sambhar 😃.
