The very pretty and sweet Disha Parmar who is currently playing the role of Pankhuri in StarPluss popular show Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha gets candid with Thetellytimes on life and more.
Tell us a bit about yourself? Well there is nothing new about me as I am just a simple girl like any other girl from a metropolitian city and do everything that everybody normally does.
What made you chose a career in acting It was always a childhood dream to persue acting as I had participated in a lot of dramas and plays in school and I always had becoming an actor in my mind, and now I can say that my dream has finally been fulfilled.
What challenges have you had to face in your career? Frankly speaking, there were no such challenges I had to face as it was actually a cakewalk for me. It wasnt like I had planned anything but the show just came to me when I was studying and I happily took it up. I was a model before acting came to me and everything just fell in place smoothly.
Tell us about your typical day? I shoot everyday from 9-9, come home watch some TV, spend a bit of time with my parents and family and then sleep! On holidays though, the only thing I do is sleep! That is my first priority.
Who is your inspiration/role model? I have never thought of this and always get stuck at this question! But frankly, I dont really have a role model.
Which is your favorite holiday spot? In India, it has to be Kashmir. And otherwise, I would really love to visit Paris one day!
What is your favorite cuisine? I love Chinese and Indian food. Also, I am a huge Rajma-Chaval fan!
Who is your favourite Bollywood actor? I have grown up watching Shah Rukh Khan films and hence it is him!
Who is your favourite Bollywood actress? I really like Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra, but with every good movie, my choices tend to change.
What advice would you want to give to the new generation of actors?For those who want to take up acting, dont mould or mend yourself to become an actor, but just be yourself!
A message for your fans? The show has been on air for one and half years now and is doing really well, and hence I would like to thank all my fans and the fans who love all the other characters too plus the show for showering us with so much love and support! We hope to continue doing well!
