actually I think that the problem with us indians is that we give too much importance to actors in general. i mean people are making statues of actors eg ab snr etc. we hero worship them, at times worshipping them more than our religions. and this is largely due to the fact that the characters we place this importance on play POSITIVE characters, I don't think Shakti kapoor has the same fan following as SRK for example. so yes we do identify with positive characters, and if the actor/actress chooses to play negative roles (in RC's case such disgusting roles) than it is only her downfall that people will never be able to see her in another light. And the type of negative role that she is playing at the moment goes way beyond any negative role that a character can play, she has broken the sanctity of marriage, she has abused the love and sincerity of her siblings, she has broken other marriages, she is going full out to destroy her sister that brought her up all her life, in such a cunning and conniving way, that makes our blood boil. Look at the outcry about KANK, the audience did not hesitate to voice their disappointment with SRK for doing that kind of role.And my opion is I am sure that he will not do another role like that again.
It is RC fault that she has chosen to play this character and she should now pay the price of that mistake.
and lastly we have all the right to bash the CHARACTERS, and I think that on this forum the members have proved to be very fair, when Jai. Bani and Massi etc needed to be lauded and supported they did that, and when the same characters acted negatively then they also voiced their disgust and anger, however Pia's character has progressively gotten worse, and if she goes on like the way she is, then peabrain, reptile, etc etc, will be mild in comparison to what names she will be given. 😉
