Today, finally, they showed that episode. I followed her a bit when she was on Imagine TV's PKCM, so was excited to see her again today.
I think that this mahamovie should have been timed on October 27th or November 2nd, since that time is Halloween, and this movie featured werewolves. (Incidentally, is the hindi for werewolves 'feri' - I had no idea that such a term for werewolves existed). But the movie was riveting.
Contrary to the story, Aditi did not play much of a tomboyish character, unless one considers driving a jeep tomboyish. In the initial stretch, she was there in a dance, and her purpose of being there was to get introduced by Rohit to his parents so that they could marry later. She played a very comforting role to Rohit's mom, and jumped off the wall of their balcony to escape Pranay the werewolf. And at the end of the movie, she tosses Diler the jewelled dagger, instead of stabbing the werewolf herself.
I actually hated the astrologer Shastri, who kept warning them about this. But if he's such a great astrologer, how could he not have known that Pratap had twins? I actually was glad to see him get killed by Pranay, the 2nd brother/werewolf. So I'm getting that Rohit became a werewolf and killed the guys who at the start of the movie attacked him & Aditi, but all the other crimes were done by Pranay?
I thought that the result of the scratches would mean that the cops themselves would turn into werewolves, but nothing like that happened. And when Rohit tossed the cop car, I thought that it was gonna land on them.
What I didn't get was - how did Aditi know at the end that the jewel dagger was the only thing that would kill the werewolf? It sure looked like overkill for killing Rohit, and also, if a fall could kill Rohit, couldn't a fall have killed Pranay as well?
Pranay's deal - dealing w/ the whole adopted parents issue - is something that I could write volumes on - don't even get me started on that one.
A pretty tragic movie - Rohit was gonna tell his parents of his desire to marry Aditi, and instead, he dies at the end, so his parents never get to know. Although it's an open question whether Aditi would have agreed to marry a werewolf 😆
