There is absolutely no storyline. Think about it... a guy loves a girl for 10 years and claims to still love her. A Girl who is wasting her time for a guy who never loved her. Suddenly after the guy's love showed up for few days, that guy started loving his wife. How?

I agree that the 10 years was/is way too long to carry the torch for his old flame and totally ignoring his wife however I think that was part of the problem (ignoring his wife 100%). He didn't talk to her at all (remember that time in the vehicle where Divya was in the back and she was trying to get Sarita to talk to Raj? He wouldn't even acknowledge her. Perhaps talking and caring about her needs rather than just being worried about his pain and suffering was what Raj needed to propell him into this more caring person (towards his wife that is) we see today.
