She has handled rudeness all her life. Let her also have a shot at letting out her feelings.

Bhairon should have used tact in talking to her. He said stuff like "mujhe tujh se yeh ummeed nahi thi" etc. and scolded her like a kid over her behaviour towards Ganga. That was no way to talk to your middle aged wife, who has been with you through thick and thin, over a newbie young lady. That pissed her off.

Also Sumitra gets frustrated whenever her "control" is threatened. She was rude to Jagya when he left Anandi. Rude to Gauri. And now rude to Ganga. Anyone who is not her choice or symbolises disobedience, disagreement for her gets her goat.

She doesn't know Sanchi's reality. Or else she would be rude over her also (though less because she is part of Anandi's sasra).
