Chapter 33

Uday was having his breakfast with manyta when she said what happened to jai today? She did not come till now? uday smiled as he heard jais name. maybe she is busy suggested uday.

M: hi adhi.

(uday does not hear the conversation on the other side )

M: ya , I am fine, how was your trip?

M: um, i too missed you ( very softly)

(uday wanted to throw the phone from her hand at this moment)

M: you want to meet today?why?

M: um, ok then. I will see you at 1 at hotel plaza

(I wont allow you to go, muttered uday)

M: ya, I will come wearing the red dress you bought for me

(I will kill you)

M: bye, see you there.

Uday went back to his seat, he swore that he saw her blush, and that made him see red. He struggled to keep a straight face as she came back. she fidgeted with her spoon and uday knew she was planning to tell him something, after 5 minutes of deafening silence between them she asked

M: uday how about you go out for a while, maybe it could help you na

U: na, manyta. I really fear going outside. It really scares me

M: uday, i.. need.. eh.. to .. go to office today, would you stay here alone

(you are not going anywhere manyta. Uday thought)

U: please manyta, dont leave me alone

He grabbed her hand and sobbed

U: please, please, I really need you

This is going to be tricky. But I need to go, otherwise Adhi may come here, what will I explain to him . if only I could make uday sleep for sometime. YES THE SLEEPING PILLS. Manyta now was happy . she knew what to do.

M: iam not going. Let me get your medicine

She went to her room on the context of taking udays medicines. She took 2 sleeping pills along with his medicines and came back with a glass of water

M: uday dont cry.

U: but manyta.

M: you know I am not going, Take your medicines now.

U:ok, for you I will, but don't leave me alone

M:I promise

M: uday you should go to your room and rest, let me wash the dishes

U: ok.

As he walked to his room he found his head spinning. He ignored it and sat on the bed. It was still hurting, he lay down.

5 minutes later she returned to see a totally unconscious uday

" this should knock you out for some hours" thought manyta. She quickly dressed up to meet adhi. As she checked her wardrobe, she found the red dress Adhi had gifted her. It was a low neck strapless dress that reached her knee. She blushed as she wore it, she used minimum makeup, and applied matching red lipstick. She looked like a goddess. Before leaving she made sure that uday was really asleep . she then locked the door and left.

Adhi was there waiting for manyta . he wore a black t shirt and blue jeans, he looked cute, thought manyta. He looked like he was guilty of something. Manyta smiled at him. he led them to a secluded area, as soon as they were seated adhi started

A:am sorry manyta, but my behavior was totally bad the last time I met you.

She remembered the last time when he had made some comments about premarital honeymoon.so thats why he is guilty.

" its ok" she smiled

A:you know it was my friends who told me to behave so, they said girls like their fiance to make such comments. They like when they touch each other, I told them you wont like that, but they called me a stupid fool. I honestly dont like all that, you may think I am old fashioned, but that what I am. I hold my morals. After talking to you, rather flirting to you, I knew you did not like it. thats why I insisted that I wanted to meet you to tell you that I am so sorry

Manyta was happy to hear that. She blushed red.

M:I know you are not like that, so just don't worry, let us enjoy this lunch now

A: am I forgiven?

M: of course, so tell me those messages , where they also send on your friends insistence?

A: right you are. They were sending those messages, I rarely got my phone.

M: thats really funny.

M: so tell me, did you have any girlfriends?

Adhi s face became sad.

A: yes I had, charulatha, my charu. I met her during college days, I liked her, she liked me. I am not a guy who look for time passes, so I was serious. But then she left me for a better guy, I was heart broken. It took me years before I got rid of my depression.

Manyta felt really sorry for the innocent man sitting in front of her, she placed her palm on his, he with drew his hand embarrassed by her touch. Manyta noticed it

M: iam sorry, I should not have.

A: its ok, its just. Oh god!! My friends are right, I should have born in the 15 th century.

M; na, I never knew that men like you were still alive in this world

A: is that a compliment or an insult?

M: a compliment. (she turned red)

Nobody noticed that time sped as they talked

Uday woke up. Hi s head was paining. He looked around for manyta. She was not there, he looked the whole house and she was not there, did she go to meet adhi? But then how did he not know? It was when the answer struck him .The tablets, yes the tablets, it must have been sleeping pills, he had just swallowed it not even giving it a single thought. She put him to sleep , so that she could meet her damn fiance. He found his temper rising , control, just control. Manyta you are gonna pay.

He heard the door opening. He made himself comfortable on the sofa and started to go through some magazine.

Manyta stopped as she saw uday awake

M: hi

Uday just nodded

M: I went outside just to buy something for evening, you were asleep. So I did not want to disturb you, I did not break any promise ok.

Uday again nodded. He looked at the red dress she was wearing. she wore THIS dress, that adhi must have a nice time enjoying the view, but then she is mine only mine.

M: I am going for bath , then we can eat.

Uday agin nodded

He was shocked when his secret phone rang, he had hidden it well and only few knew that number. He hurriedly took the phone hidded among his clothes, answered the phone. It was one of his old clients

I have a work for you

I am not interested

see its a very quick job

I am not interested

listen, 50 million dollars will be your reward. Just finish him by tomorrow evening. Can you arrange it?

(50 million was a tempting sum)

yes, I can, name the person and the place

The man gave him all the details and added its very difficult to spot him, he is very smart

He quickly switched off his phone and hid it back, when he heard his name being called

M: where were you? How long was I calling you

uday signaled that he was in the bathroom

u: manyta, I was thinking what you said was right, maybe I should go out.

M: really? Are you sure?

U: ya, it would do good for me

M: you could go to office then

U: na, I have some other work to do

M: what?

U: top secret, (he winked, his mind was already calculating what he would do, step by step, he formulated his plan)

The next day , both manyta and uday left at the same time. They parted ways. Uday went to a place where he swore he would not visit to make some arrangements. It was a difficult task

He made a list of items

Then he ticked each one as he did each step.

Time flew by, he looked his watch

time to get the plan in action

Sanjay bahadoor felt that someone was following him. it made him uneasy. He quickened his steps. He feared his life since the day he had broken his business ties with with boss. He refused point blank not to help them import drugs, now they wanted him killed. He was sure of it. so now a days, he went out in disguise, no one would ever recognize him. he looked behind, but no one was there. He began to panic.

Suddenly out of the darkness a figure appeared. He had a gun fitted with a silencer. He ran.

BANG

Came the gunshot, and he fell down tumbling. The last thing she saw was the darkess as it enveloped him
