Arnav had been trying to talk to Sheetal about his trip that she had been planned by her so that he could pay a visit to his sick Grandmother on his moms behalf. Not that he didnt want to, but his grandmother was longing to eye her only daughter in such a state, but little did she knew that her daughter thought of her nothing less than just a mere responsibility! Arnav felt angry, he loved and respected these relations.. but what about the one who was supposed to teach him all this?!
Sheetal has always been a lady with some other priorities other than her family and her family came in the end on the list. Arnav had always tried to get her attention, but Sheetal always shrugged it off telling him that he was acting emotional, obsessive and What Not?! they were a happy family but yet Arnav didn't know what it felt to be a part of a happy family. it looked more of a broken family to him. Arnav Malik silently stood with his hands folded on his chest and a calm look adorning his face.
Khushi was done with her part time job and was at her way back home. She made her way to the place which was the only one where she had found serenity! The Cliff which was behind the famous Dargah which was equally infamous,. Khushi moved ahead.. mostly she had never found anyone there.
Never before Khushi went ahead or at the end of the Cliff but today she couldnt resist as if something was attracting her and she unknowingly listened to her heart and went ahead and Saw a Guy standing very very close to the end of the Cliff and What would a person do at that spot.. Suicide?! She thought. for a moment she felt herself panicking but at the other was lost in her thoughts about How Wonderful it had been if Her good for nothing brother Samrat had been there on the place of the guy!
She clapped her hands together at her thought smiling widely, Wah! Khushi exclaimed loudly.
Arnav turned around with his hands in his other pockets of his jeans with his always Charming Face hearing the voice and as soon as the pairs of eyes met, both the pair of eyes went wide.
You!? Both of them spoke at the same time. Arnav looked away while Khushi looked at him with shock.
"YOU were going to suicide?", she asked.
"What The- " Arnav uttered not understanding her.
The advantage of Arnav being no more struck upon Khushi, and she again smiled heartily making Arnav confuse and spoke, "Malik.. You can continue, and I Promise I won't tell anyone.. Pakka promise!"
"What?" An irritated Arnav said.
Khushi sobered and said, "Look.. lets make a deal, you continue what you were doing and don't stop! and I wont utter a word to anyone", She could see Arnav's expressions totally bewildered and shuddered.
"What the heck?! What was I doing and What you won't tell to anyone?"
"Suicide! and I won't tell anyone that you committed suicide."
"What the!"
"at least its better than committing to those stupid girls!" Khushi muttered.
"Are You nuts?!"
"That's what you are!"
"Unbelievable!"
Khushi raised an eyebrow while Arnav took some steps towards her and stopped a good distance.
"You are not that lucky Khushi.. We still have to bear each other for a year!", he said.
Khushi moved forward crossing him she sat down on the ground hugging her knees to herself.
"Erm.. Malik..", he looked at her to continue but seeing her fighting with herself for words he replied to her unspoken words, "You're Welcome yet you're not!"
"Huh?" Khushi said looking up at him.
"You wanted to Thank me.", he told her.
"No!"
"Yes!"
"Stop day Dreaming!"
"Stop lying!"
"I don't lie!"
"Neither do I!"
he smirked while she glared at him going back in her usual angry self. Khushi stood up dusting herself and suddenly stumbled upon a rock and felt her heart miss a beat but Arnav grabbed her wrist immediately and held her whispering, careful
But Khushi is Khushi.. she again glared at him and pulled her wrist out of his grip and turned her face other side looking at the pleasant views.
After a minute of silence of silence he again spoke, "Khushi.. what the hell are you doing here!?"
"What the Hell do you mean?", she asked in the same tone as him.
"What are you doing at this place?"
"I come here before you would have even know it!", Khushi said Proudly.
"Oh Really? look who is the day dreaming now!", he mocked at her.
"I'm coming here since I was..", she said getting up and both said, "8!" with their backs facing each other and both immediately turned around in shock.
"Even I come to this place since I was 8", Arnav confessed.
"doesn't matter!", Khushi replied curtly.
Khushi mentally cursed herself for being so stupid and even wasting her time at the that worthless person. She took her White Dupatta out of her neck and Covered her head, and front with it for entering the Dargah, just for her mothers wish as Garima Has once told Khushi that whenever she went anywhere near that place she should visit Dargah too.
On the other hand, Arnav mentally made a note to himself about never going to that Cliff again as it was no use now. That was a place which he thought was his.. a place which he discovered, but no more as the witch-ie-witch even snatched the place away from him. The thought is quite childish, but Even Arnav had a kid somewhere in his, heart still. No Actually a very Big Child he himself was still.. that everyone around him knew and adored..
he quickly adjusted his sleeves and took out a handkerchief and fastened it around his head as he made his way towards the Dargah. Arnav didn't even knew ABC of customs, rituals and all the things apart of the festivals which takes place every year on their own times, even after living in such a city like Lucknow where these things were very much cherished everyone learns from their upbringing and no one had taught Arnav and Anjali about Tehzeeb of their religion and all that knowledge they had about this was from school or teachers and was limited. Anjali somehow being a daughter knew very much that she never showed, marking it as Old-Fashioned, but Arnav didn't and that had led him to something that no one knew about him, that he didn't believe in a particular God. Sheetal being a mother never noticed him disappearing at the time of the poojas that she organized but still.. after all this.. still he felt a connection towards this Dargah. He didn't know much but yet he visited this place and even right now he was doing the same.
