I love Zoya and she has lots of great qualities, but that doesn't mean I'm not going to criticize her. Ever since she foisted Faisal and his clown mother on the family, I've been annoyed with her. Er...remember you're from New York? How would you feel being ambushed? Today Zoya was the limit. Some people are comparing Zoya's wanting to help Najma to Zoya's helping Miriam at Mangalpur. I think the two situations are completely different. For starters, she was absolutely right in helping Miriam because it was a matter of ethics, safety and someone's life at stake. She was impulsive and risked her own life, but that is Zoya being Zoya, putting others first just to make them happy. At present though, Zoya's fairy tale approach to Najma and Imraan is wrong, premature, appallingly insensitive and plain stupid. Seriously, why is she acting like it's some huge emergency? If "Zoya is just being Zoya" even in this case, then she is being hypocritical - Asad evolved, changed and grew in matters of love and relationships, but Zoya is now proving that she is lagging quite far behind in this matter with her impetuous remarks and blind desire to help Najma. Just because you love something doesn't mean it's good for you. Najma being in love with that poor excuse of a man isn't enough reason to hurry up and get them married. Love does not equate to Right. A chain smoker loves his/her cigarettes but that doesn't mean cigarettes are good for you. Finally, so what if she doesn't know Nikhat? A child could see Nikhat was hurting. I wonder if Zoya remembers her own experience of "moving on" from heartbreak. The less said about Najma-Imraan the better - Nikhat is a Queen of Dignity and Grace.
