I hate this Team Asad vs. Ayaan. I'm Team Common Sense. How about that?

There is no way in hell I would ever send my sister to get married off to Imraan. And there is no way I would even date a man that my sister/cousin/friend has dated, marrying him out of the question completely.

And why this sudden interest in getting Najma married off? She's just a little kid! Asad's not even married yet! And I don't understand how Asad said Nikhat didn't tell him the truth. It's pretty common sense that any girl's not going to get over a guy in a few days!

If there is anyone who is blameless in the entire mess, its nikhat. She is the only one who is handling this with dignity. So she told her bro that she was fine. Is asad two years old? How many girls are ok after their marriage gets called off esp to a guy they love? He just asks her casually over the phone, not even in person, and thats it. Pfff.

I am team Asyaan as well I do not want either of them to fight, I want both of them to handle this maturely rather than playing the blame game. Frankly today I was with Ayaan, because Asad acted out of character today, but I so hope that brother solve this misunderstanding and find a solution for this problem.

exzactly! He is stuck like a broken record on the precise words she said. He asked her over the phone. The phone! When someone calls you over the phone, do you say "i am sad, i am miserable, i think my life might be over" etc etc. No. The standard response is that i am fine.

And this was not such a small thing that you casually ask over the phone. Go and freaking meet her. Hug her. Let her cry on your shoulder. You are talking about her heart not the weather. You dont have such a small, impersonal conversation abt something so important

I am with Nikhat on this. How much ever impulsive Ayaan might be, but all he is trying to do is support his sister. None of them knew about Najma's love interest in Imran. On the other hand, Asad was always aware that Nikhat loved Imran. It was precisely for this reason that he had arranged for a bunglow etc for Haseena. Now if the marriage was called off by Nikhat, I think it is Asad's responsibility to sit and speak to Nikhat about things in detail, and not just make a phone call for the sake of formality.
C'mon, he did find time to go and look for some old teacher and show off his prized possession, but never found time to meet Nikhat. I dont buy the bullshit that he said nothing is finalized and stuff. How could he even think about speaking about Najma and Imran's wedding without even getting details of why the engagement broke. If Asad knew Nikhat even a bit, he would know that she would suffer as much as she can but never let any of this trouble her loved ones. That was precisely the reason why she did not say anything to Asad over phone. And what response she gets from her beloved elder brother, he accuses her of lying!! How could you Asad!? I am just so disappointed in you.
I would still be with Asad had he acknowledged that he made a mistake and try to amend things.
But no, he is thinks that may be Najma and Imran should get married as they love each other.

Someone asked in one of the posts if one can love a step sister as their own. Well, I don't know if one can. However, if Asad claims that Nikhat is his responsibility, then he better tend to it. Why did he think that a halfhearted phone call was sufficient!! We have never seen Ayaan claiming any of this, so why even expect him to do anything about Najma.
