A recent medical study says children turn aggressive if they watch too much television. TV star-moms talk about what their kids watch on the small screen

It all depends on my daughter Palak's (6) mood. She is very choosy and mostly watches only Disney channel. She enjoys the knowledge-based shows on that channel. I don't allow her to watch too much television since it's bad for her eyes. I am concerned about the fare shown on children's channels affecting her behaviour. SHWETA TIWARI

This is a very important issue. Till she was two, my daughter Kiara never watched TV. Then I started showing her cartoon shows. She watches some fabulous cartoon programmes on channels like Nick and Pogo. I make it a point to watch the shows with her and keep her away from films and TV soaps. One has to be careful with impressionable young minds MANASI JOSHI ROY

My daughter Pari (2) is too young for television, but he loves watching cartoon shows. He doesn't watch films because sometimes, the scenes in them can get a little too graphic for young minds. It also becomes very difficult for us to explain to him certain scenes that he sees on television. We will monitor what he sees on TV as he grows up GOURI TONNK
