'Damn these stupid combinations'
'You need some help'
Startled she looked up into a genuinely sweet face. She shook her head
'No I am fine thanks, its just' ' again she banged her hand on the door
'It seems like you do need the help, these lockers are like that especially when trying for the first time'
And with that he had opened it
'Thank you '
'By the way I am Rahul and you are definitely new here'
'Yes i am manyata transferred from Rosewood'
'So what do you think of BSC?'
'Its'.. different'
Rahul smiled knowing exactly what she meant, she turned after placing her new load of text books from previous class and soon they were chatting away. Felt nice to meet someone normal like her'. He was running late for his literature class while she was struggling to find the bio lab.
The hallway seemed deserted when she turned to look straight into a couple having a heavy make out session which shocked the hell out of her. She tried to look away while walking around them
'Ok baby I got to go'
'Will I see you later?'
'No probably not'
Manyata walked past hurriedly as she heard the girl pleading with the guy to see her later carefully not looking at their faces but hearing their conversations when she heard her name being called. She continued walking thinking she heard wrong when again'..
'Manyata'.Singh'
She stopped and turned around only to be greeted with his perfect face and wicked smirk' what is he doing here? Oh god run manyata, he is probably one of those physco serial robbers or something, why cant I move my legs? Oh no he is walking towards me, do something manyata scream' she looked around and couldn't see anyone else in the hallway, yuck he was the same guy that girl was glued to.. disgusting and cheap. Her brain finally began to work as she took few steps back and spoke preparing to run her fastest if he moved towards her
'Yooo. Uu YOU stay away from me. YOU ARE not the principal and I will rep.. I will report you'
'You will now? What will say to them?'
'Listen I will scream stop.. stop coming any closer to me.. YOU.. YOU THIEF''
'Well what do you know.. that's quite a mouth you have on you MAN.. YA.. TA''
Oh god she was having troubling breathing as he gained proximity, her heart pounding as she turned around and started to run only to feel her arm being yanked forcefully before she could scream or retaliate she was taken into the janitors room and the door shut while his hands were covering her mouth.
Oh god this is it, he is going to kill me. Tears stinging her eyes as she tried to look around in the room but she couldn't as she was pressed against the wall with his weight while his hand never left her mouth and his eyes burning into hers.
'I am going to remove my hands from your mouth, you don't want to make the mistake of screaming, UNDERSTAND'
She said nothing numb from what is happening
'I said do you UNDER STAND?'
She nodded her head while he removed his hand and the minute he moved his body weight off her she tried to flee only to be pulled back by him and this time his hands were on either side of the wall and his face was inches away from hers. She could look at him and the tears she was suppressing was now flowing out
'Ple'..please don't hurt me' I promise I wont report you or the phone stolen, you can.. you can keep the phone' just let' just let me go'
Oh man tears' she looks like a fragile baby, so innocent so'. Afraid' of me?
'shhh' he placed his finger in her quivering lip
'I am not going to hurt you and if you had not ran in the first place I would have give you your phone back?'
He took it out from his jacket pocket and gave it to her
'I am many things but a thief is not one them, I forgot to give it back to you earlier'
'Why' why did you do that earlier?'
He burst out laughing as she swallowed hard and looked at him, her eyes misty.
'Well you were just at the wrong place at the wrong time, you should thank your lucky stars I usually don't welcome newbies so warmly'' '
She creased her eyebrows feeling very intimidated my him and his alluring eyes and the way he was staring at her lips.
'Uhh.. ok.. Thanks I suppose. Now i' I should be going. I am late for my class.. and
Before she could say a word more, her glasses were taken off'. Oh no not again, this room was dark as it is and now'.
'Please give me back my glasses see' I really cant '. I promise I wont ever come in front of you again' please just.. just let me go'
She felt his warm breath on her face and inhaled his strong smell closing her eyes as her lips quivered
'YOU ARE REALLY GOING TO HAVE TO SOMETHING ABOUT THESE GLASSES'
There's that line again?...
And he placed her glasses back on her nose
As soon she felt that, she pushed past him hard and ran not before hearing
'I don't think I want you to hide away from me'. I know you exist now and if you keep away I will find you'
And she shut the door hard breathing heavily not even turning around once to look back.. .. if this was how the first day was what Is the rest of the year going to be like?

She had come home to an empty house, missing her last class and even worse dad was not around. She found his note
'I am so sorry princess, I had to leave today.
Maria will be back tomorrow so please don't forget to switch on the alarm before you get to bed and yes the security will be patrolling the area, it is generally safe neighbourhood but still I will be checking in on you.
Hope you had a great first day, will skype you later and then you can fill me in.

She sighed heavily as she sank into the chair. What a day and you are also not here now' I still can't believe any of it, I spent most of my childhood and teenage years going invisible and now at 17 .I have become the pawn of a bully?? Why me? I don't want to go back to that school, as soon as dad comes back I will have to tell him that I want to transfer out. I need to speak to jai, she took out her phone and dialed jai, their casual conversation turned serious when manyata filled jai in on her first day'..jai was livid that someone had actually had the nerve to treat her that way
'Manya you seriously should report him, such a jerk for targeting you'.
'J I can't do that, I don't want any more undue attention and problems'
'But why not, people like him can't just go around scaring the hell out of innocent people, the sleazy slime ball'
Manyata laughed her contagious infectious laugh after the horrible day she had listening to her bestie vent her anger
'Maybe this whole thing will be forgotten and tomorrow will be a better day, I mean he did return my phone'
'I hope so babes, but if he so much as blows wind in your direction. You better stand your ground and get his ass kicked out'
'I don't think he is a student there, he looks very'.. different ' older like'
'Whats his name?'
'I have no idea, I mean its not like we were introducing ourselves at an AA meeting'
Jai giggled ' Nice to know your sense of humor is still intact'
'Babes I just want to say please be careful and stay away from that creep, and one more thing how does he look?'
'WHAT?'
'You know is he like UGLY with a capital U or Fairly Ok looking?'
'J seriously are we having this conversation now?'
'All I am saying is that if the bugger is half as good looking is even more dangerous'..'
'That's just the thing, why would any good looking guy ...ok more than good looking guy even look in my direction?'

Manyata laughed as she listened to her, only jai could make a bad day so much better, they continued chatting for while after until both realized that they had to go, promising to chat tomorrow.
While manyata had prepared her supper , showered and sat in front of the tv waiting for her dad to call and eventually fell asleep waking up to the sound of her phone ringing. It was her dad checking in on her and making sure she was alright as security was patrolling in the area, she reassured him that she was fine and she had her supper. He sounded so tired and the last thing she felt like telling him about was her first day and how she didn't want to go back there, instead she changed the topic and decided when his back she would speak to him. After ending the call, she double checked the pin on alarm and headed to her bed putting out all thoughts of dark alluring eyes and strong musky no minty no woody' whatever it was it needed to get out of her senses as her dreams called out to her.
