JK Rowling announces Book 7 release date!

JKRowling.com has recently been updated with news that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the seventh and final book in the series, will be released on July 21st, 2007, one week after the fifth movie hits theaters.

Scholastic has followed with a press release in which Lisa Holton, President of Scholastic Children's Books said, 'We are thrilled to announce the publication date of the seventh installment in this remarkable series. We join J.K. Rowling's millions of readers - young and old, veterans and newcomers - in anticipating what lies ahead.' You can read the full press release here.

The hardcover will sell for $34.99 with the deluxe edition fetching $65.00.

shhhh, i got online during skewl!
if you go on yahoo,, it says JK rowling has confirmed the date for the last book in the potter series..

n for all those who r wondering y its not releasing on 07/07/07..i think i kno y...actually another important world event is happening on 07/07/07....theyre gonna announce the new 7 wonders of the world 😉 ...so on 07/07/07 all news channels will be wondering abt the new 7 wonders of the world [cummon, ppl will be more bothered abt new 7 monuments gaining world recognition than hp 7 😆] and hp 7 will probably just cum as a flash news scrolling arnd the bottom of the screen 😆]
besides theyve sed tht theyre announcing new 7 wonders on 07/07/07 loooooooong back so thrs no way jkr can step in n order them to change their date 😆
