Hello all this I am back for the dotw this week and here is my topic!
As we have seen from day one of Rashi and Jigar's marital life, the involvement of Urmila was 100% 😛 Is it necessary?
Even Gopi and Ahem's relationship was hugely affected by Kokila's involvement! (Keeping the kks aside, I am talking about poking noses😛) Is it necessary?

But is it right to leave their children on their own to manage their marital lives at the beginning? To what extent the involvement should be?

Will it change for a boy and a girl? How??

P.S: I would always love to post stuff on ongoing topics...Thats why chose this, I am very sorry if it is boring...
The stage is all yours..hope we have fun...

This is very subjective Madhu with how far the family can involve in a married couple's life

I say they shouldn't involve unless there is a rift between the couple where the intervention of the family or elder person is of utmost importance.,,,

In a normal situation the couple should be let alone to sort their issues and handle their marital life on their own

with regards to Urmi - No Never should she have involved in Rashi and Jigars relation and the reasons are obvious

and with regards to Koki in the initial days, her intervention was absolutely necessary, if Koki wasn't involved GoHem would have be separated by now .. as I said earlier parents and elder members should involve when the married couple cannot fix their relation on their own

P,S - nice topic Madhu, will comment more after seeing other's views on this

Madhu from what I have seen of arranged marriages portrayed in serials 'a helping hand' is indeed necessary, especially in the early days when the couple are getting used to living with each other and may have a few problems adjusting.

However, Urmila's interference is damaging to both Rashi and Jigar but the cvs have chosen to gloss over that bit. In her mission to upgrade her status Urmila is choosing to do it by proxy through Rashi, a what's yours is mine attitude (god help Jigar) 😆. Despite her constant assurances Urmila is doing this for her own gain. Had Rashi been married elsewhere would Urmila be able to do as much as she has? I think not. It is only Hetal and Jigar's goldfish memory that she gets away with so much.

Now back to interference, there are two types. Good and bad as you have pointed out. But at what point should that stop? After all marriage is between a couple. At some point they should live their life free from the prying eyes and snide remarks if and when they do show some affection towards the other. Living in a goldfish bowl has its downside.

Urmila should be barred from the Modi mansion
urmila is an evil, . wicked and cruel person. kokila should not keep on forgiving Urmila and allowing her to come to the mansion. Even if she is allowed then she should stay in the lounge away from Rashi and the twins. urmila and Rashi should be struck dumb and blind.
Rashi should not be allowed to have a mobile phone.
Extended family can be good in some respects but can also be very bad. If a young couple is mature enough and prove that they can live away from their parents then the parents should let them do so. A daughter is separated from her parents after marriage so why can't a son. People should not differentiate between a boy and a girl. Girls bring 2 family together and they are the ones responsible for the birth of the future generations.
