Muneeza, in Casablanca when he tells Ingrid Bergmann to get on that plane (in the most sexist move ever, robbing her of the right to take a decision for herself), he tells her "We'll always have Paris".... a reference to the time that they had spent together ... its frequently considered the most romantic line in movie history ...its a reference to days of craziness, of being madly in love... somewhere i also feel that their romance becomes eternal precisely because it does not face the everyday and the routine.... anything which is caught in a space time warp (ie Paris) will always be beautiful....
So why do i like the line so much: a) Paris, of course, is my city of dreams but more importantly, b) I think the secret to happiness is discovering this Paris in every relationship.... a difficult and frequently discouraging task, but not really impossible π
