See but I'm not sure why Jalal hates Jodha. At some point he told Adham Khan or someone that he wants to clip her wings and crush her spirit, which he has now also told her. But I thought that kind of came from nowhere. Other than that, I can't remember anything that explains why he would specifically *hate* her. Even when she confronted him when he was in disguise in Amer, he didn't walk away from that wanting revenge on her - more being impressed/amazed by her. And after that he'd always have flashbacks to the sight of her in a doli, not doing anything other than looking gorgeous and mysterious.

What am I missing? I can see that now they're together there'll be plenty of reasons for him to develop angst and anger towards her, but I don't see how a "hate" for her made him marry her as he claims...

he told jodha that he wants to clip his wings etc bec his male ego got hurt and felt rejected that when he heard that jodha did not want to be near him. so just to satisfy his ego and break jodha's pride he said that he hates her and wants to destroy her life etc. Earlier he used to find excuses to touch her or go near her bec he liked teasing her and intimidating her specially when he knew she married for her family sake; but she never said it out loud and clear. now when she got ready to bow down to ruqaiya on condition that ruq keeps jalal away from him specially it was like a last straw. Bec he knows how much pride jodha has and just to keep jalal away she was willing to bow down. and she had an audacity that to tell to his so called fav. begum" ruq". that's like double insult for him and his ego.

this is what i feel why he said about cutting her wings etc. i don't if it makes sense or helps at all.

It does make sense and does help, thanks!! 👏 I feel silly that it never occurred to me that he doesn't mean what he says, lol. I did realize that whatever he says to MA/AK is strategic and not genuine, which is why I thought his comments about crushing her spirit 'came from nowhere.' I was confused when that sort of explanation was picked up again recently by Jalal himself, but I think you're completely right that even when he says it to Jodha it's not the full truth that he hates her. And of course now that she's standing up to him and annoying him all the time, his hurt pride would start to actually make him feel like he wants to destroy her life in return 😲

You are so right!! I don't know why I didn't find it obvious, haha 😳. I guess just like we're supposed to believe Jalal convinced Jodha with his fierceness, Rajat's acting did convince me that he meant all the stuff about marrying her because he hated her and wanted to crush her 😆

Hello welcome, I hope you're liking the show and moving on to your question, I'm not really sure if this is exact but Jodha hates Jalal because Jodha and her friends were praying in Matas Mandir and a bunch of Mughals came and stole the jewels from Matas idol and one of the Mughals kidnapped her friend Moti bai and then she found out that their leader Jalal is their leader and that's when her disgust for him began and then many other things instigating it including the death of Suryabhaan her ex fianc and Jalal hates Jodha because of many things like when he went to Amber she said that she wants his head and she even put a sword to his neck because she suspected him of being a Mughal and that made him very upset, one of the main reasons why he wanted to conquer her and to show her that she made a big mistake by challenging him especially when she sang the song and then not wanting him to come close to her, but this is my interpretation some may think it's wrong and it might be, I hope you find a way to watch the episodes though because that way you'll know what really happened, hope I helped.

According to akbar no one can ever say a word in front of him but Jodha is (was ) not afraid of him and that's why he doesn't like her.
