Wishing a Very Happy Birthday to Nissar Parvez – Producer 4 Lions Films!

Nissar Parvez, Producer 4 Lions Films, is a name synonymous with hit shows like Dil Mil Gaye, Mile Jab Hum Tum, Geet – Hui Sabse Parayi and many more especially on the erstwhile Channel Star One.. He also won the Best Director Award for Geet – Hui Sabse Parayi in 2010, which you all must know.

What you perhaps don't know is that as passionate he is about Direction, he is equally engrossed in being a Producer for shows that 4 Lions Films bring. Be it Humse Hai Life, Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon, Suvreen Guggal – Topper of the Year, Arjun – Har Yug Mein Aayega Ek or Qubool Hai.

Nissar is a very visual person, when in a story meeting or Pre-Production Meetings, he puts across his points in a very visual format. Perhaps that is part of being a Director. He explains a scene in movements and camera work. He also finds solutions in relation to budget that an episode of Arjun – Har Yug Mein Aayega Ek or Suvreen Guggal – Topper of the Year has to adhere to. We have seen him give alternates in terms of location, the use of it and using it for multiple scenes with blocks that would not give the location away.

Being a producer, one has to look at the bottom line, however, all three partners Gul Khan, Gorky Max and him being creative people; have rarely compromised on the look or the feel of the shows to fit into a particular budget. What is known as production value, they use props that are befitting the character, example is that the costumes of actors come from Zara, the accessories like sling bags for Shree come from BaseCamp. Be it using a chopper in Arjun or outdoor locations for Suvreen Guggal or Qubool Hai, all add production value to a show.

Besides this, Nissar also is at the helm of celebrations for any milestones that any of their shows reach. He is the perfect host at these parties, welcoming and taking care of the "guests". And this for a person who usually listens more than he talks is astounding. Perhaps, the habit of observation, ingrained in him, allows him to be a host with aplomb.
