The Week End
Prologue
I knew that one day I would meet him, no matters when or where but deep in my heart I knew that one day he would be in front of me' but never knew that like strangers. Like we never knew each other. Yes, that would however be partially correct one his part for he never knew that I loved him so much. But for me he was, is and will be everything. Though long before I came to know that he was committed and well' it was not like I was angry or I even had right to, for he never knew about me. And I am sure that he never even cared but I did. Rizwan was that only ever whom I like and he only remained a good friend. A friend whom he never understood. It wasn't like I had any complaint for him but deep down I knew that my heart will only beat for him. And that day when finally the day came for my heart to break into thousand pieces, I met my ultimate saviour, whom I thought my biggest enemy- my fate. Just the day before the Reunion, my parents fixed my marriage to a guy I had never met but only through the conversations or appa and jiju I thought I knew him, as most disagreeable man- and why not, he was everything I hated. He was rich and a businessman and had around him high airs of superiority. What a girl would ever like him. But I was wrong, when I told my dearest friend, Mukta about him, she was all praises and never once felt guilty about drooling over his mere talk infront of me- well I was not jealous but extremely anguished. My best friend and drooling over a man of my utmost hatred! It was an outrage. He already started to ruin me, to make me alone by capturing my best friend's heart by mere his name. He was dangerous for me, I concluded.

"I know Ammi, he liked her. He would never say it but bhai was looking at her photo like with so much of love." Najma said surprised.
"I know, but I want him to confess and say that he wants to marry her." Dilshad said with a smirk, "after all the time he made us worried he deserves to pay."
"And I know he would never do that." Najma told point blank
"So only this much you know your bhaijaan?" Dilshad looked at Najma and then towards the stairs from where Asad was descending.
They both sat quietly has Asad took his seat. He was always particular of everything and wanted everything to be in place perfectly.
He sat down and looked at Dilshad and greeted her good morning as always and after pouring some milk in flakes he opened the newspaper as he was habitual to, and without making it known continued to listen to the silent conversations of his mother and sister, that he never did in all these years.
