Before going into the Story, Thank you all for your fabulous support. From this Chapter onwards, there will be so many business talks so do bare with me... And I still have a very long way to go... Hell with this tiresome life style...

PART 20

I CANT STAY NEAR THE DIRECTOR ANYMORE! My feelings towards the Director was so painful and terrible that I blurted out something like this before the Manager yesterday.

Geet's thoughts were broken by the speech of Manager Khurana, Dev. Geet was much shocked to listen to what the Manager was saying that her brain and heart wasnt able to register the words again. Seeing her shocked expression face with a WHATsound from her mouth, Dev repeated his sentences again.

Dev: I have removed you from the post of Director Khurana's Personal Secretary, Ms Handa. For the time being, the duty will be divided between everyone in the Secretarial Office. We'll use the Health Issue as an Excuse for your absence. I want you to have some rest from this company. In the meantime, I will take care of your Re-Appointment formalities. I know that Maan is drinking your blood on regular basis. But I think, even if you are not here, he wont feel much difference. He will have to go back to the schedule which he was following six months ago. I guess he might need some time to readjust of course.

Geet: Errr... Manager Khurana, I... I'm terribly sorry! I shouldn't have said something like that to you. You were very kind to me always. So I accidentally let such a complaint slip. Because you are the only person who knew the circumstance of both me and Director and our Relationship too. Geet recollected the time where Dev questioned Maan about Geet knowing his Vampire Nature and his feelings towards Geet.

I am very sorry that I made my personal issues cause problem to the whole company. I understand its absolutely improper behaviour, that too when the company is about to start a new project. Its critical time for both the company and the Director, and I ...

Dev cut her off saying: What made you to think that it was you who cause the problem to the company. Dont say such things Handa. You should never take other people's judgement to your heart, as they know nothing about you and your circumstances. For them, what you are to Maan is just an Average Affairs, but for you, it will hurt you for the rest of your life. You have excellence in all the work you have done till now. No one can question you for your work.

No problem of this company is worth to destroy your life. You are a perfect employee. If you leave us, its indeed a big loss for the company. But for now, you should consider this as an order. LEAVE MAAN. And dont worry about your mother, I make sure she is protected well. And I promise you on that.

Geet was shocked. Manager... You knew!?!

Dev: Kind of but not really. But I know Maan, he will never miss a chance to threaten you. He never let go easy of the tools he uses. Geet was hurt with the reference of her as Tool to Maan. But I am very sorry Ms Handa.

Geet: Manager, Please dont...

Dev: Truth is that it was me who is working on the personal feelings and not just the part of the company. But also as the older brother of Maan I have to do everything about you.

Geet left the cabin without uttering another word. She was bottled with so many things that she wasnt able to understand what is happening around her. The news of her leaving spread around the office like a forest fire and the Girl staffs came to Geet to console her and offered their help stating that they can refill her place. Even that sentence made Geet hurt and pain.

If I Refuse they will think I dont trust them. Why I am not able to say anything. Being Director's Private Secretary is hard but its worth being it. She went to Maan's cabin, but found it empty so she returned to her seat. I dont want to quit my job. I know there are things which nobody can do other than me, as I am the only person who knew Director is a Vampire other than his family member and his driver. Example preparing Schedules for his Meals and making his appointments in such a way that he is not exposed more to the sun.

Geet was in deep thought about her convo with her colleagues. She wasnt able to think of anyone in her place to cover up Maan's activity and arranging for his Special Meals. She took the Diary in which Maan's Meals Schedule was there. He had his meal with me out of the Schedule yesterday, so I will mark today as his Date with Manasa without any feeding. And I have to send her presents too.

Suddenly her hands started to shiver that she wasnt able to write anymore. Her eyes are welled with tears. She was imaging Maan going out to other girls. So I'm just going to sit and watch him seducing the girls, and I shall keep arranging and sending presents to them and keep watching him everytime he goes out with the girls. And after he had his meals he will come back to me to steal my blood.

Geet was not able to hold her tears any longer and she started crying bitterly in her cabin. AND I'LL JUST SIT AND WAIT?

Inside Maan's Cabin,

Maan questioning: Absence?

Geet: I know this is sudden, so please excuse me. It was arranged that during my absence your work will be taken care by everyone in the Secretarial Office. I am lying... Geet became totally sad...In fact this is the last time I'll be by your side...

Maan came close to Geet and lifted her face to face him... he came closer and said You look ill. Geet's heart was thumping fast... Was it because of yesterday?

Whenever Geet think of their night together her heart beat starts raising and her breathes are getting uneven. Maan came closer to connect their lips but he suddenly turned his head away and walked far away from her.

Maan facing his back towards her: Fine, you're free. It's not as if the company will stop working if you are not here.

Geet was totally hurt with his words. So that's it. I wanted at least one last kiss but I wanted him to touch me. He doesn't need me by his side. Because I'll be absent, Director, I've prepared the schedule for your "Meals" for some time ahead. The next date is with Meera madam and...

Maan cut her off: Ah, not that one. Her father's business is failing and the utility value is dropping. Her blood was only so and so! Pretty and not too stupid. But that's all there was to her.

Geet: And that's all? If she's nto useful then he discards her like a handkerchief. That's all women are to him... then... The same will happen to me sooner or later... I'll rearrange your feeding schedule. And I'll tell the other secretaries to make sure the office you use for your meetings is always open.

Then she hand over the couple of files he needed for his meeting.I was useful as a secretary, and I know that he is a vampire, so I was convenient. And my blood was sort of unusual.

Maan was watching her closely when she was giving him all the instructions needed in her absence... (I wonder how long) he was watching only her that he didn't register any of the words said by her...that's all there was to her...

Geet:Now if you'll excuse me... and there she left...

Once he was alone : so that's how it is... he recollectes her sad face when he was about to kiss her a few mins back... he bangs in hand on his glass table...SHE'S JUST ANOTHER HUMAN WOMAN... Just another...

Episode style... the scene freezes on Maan's angry face...

Dev convinced Geet to leave Maan.Thats sad,both are thinking a lil wrong about the other,that they dont mean anything to each other.Its the other way round,now they wont be able to live without each other.

I loved d way you ended d update-Episode style.
