PART 18

*GEET'S POV*

"Look Maan i think we should give us a chance, are you ok with it?" i asked so bluntly.

Yes, finally I said him the words that was creating havoc inside me. It was rooting inside me for long time that if I hadn't let it out it would have choked me. Now that I had told him I don't regret and it feels good.

Maan's expression was worth the risk I took confessing my heart. He first looked confused, surprised then his eyes glowed with such intense happiness that I found my heart overwhelm with happiness.

He was looking at me with wide eyes and grinning face. I couldn't help but return his happiness.

"geet i.." he was at loss of words.

"you don't have to tell anything maan " I said

He frowned

"I can see it in your face " I said

I couldn't believe he actually blushed when I said that.

"can I hug you?" he asked shyly.

"yes" I nodded smiling.

He was quick to pull me into his arms. My hand went around his waist and placed my head on his shoulder.

"geet?"

"umm"

"trust me I will not let you down" he said genuinely.

I opened my drowsy eyes to be greated by maan's smiling face. He was sitting at the edge of the bed looking at me with that innocent smile that I have grown accustomed to since I learnt his real self.

"Good morning " I said not bothering to get up.

It was like a vacation and I am going to behave that way but I guess maan has other plans as he was already showered and fully dressed.

"Good morning" he said softly.

We kept staring at each other until I frowned and shrugged my shoulders asking as if what he wants.

"I thought yesterday was a dream" he said

I shook my head laughing. I expected this from him. Maan can be kid at heart sometimes.

I pulled up myself from bed and looked at him. He smiled sweetly. He looked so young with that expression. I cupped his right cheek and caressed it with my thumb.

"It is true maan " I said looking into his eyes.

His eyes were getting watery and he was choked with emotions. I tried to change the topic.

"so why so early ?" I asked embracing the pillow beside me.

"it is 11 " he said

"what?! Why didn't you wake me up?" I asked grabbing my phone to check the time.

"I thought baby needs sleep" he said looking at my bump.

I took his hand and placed it on my bump. Every time this gesture makes him happy and I love seeing him smile so genuinely.

"Say good morning to baby" I said

"Good morning baby" maan replied with sweet voice.

"And now baby is hungry and wants pepper mushroom sandwich " I said

"rather the mother wants that because baby always likes its dad's favorites " he said smiling at me.

"So are you not gonna get me what the mother wants?" I asked narrowing my eyebrows.

"I will get the whole world under the mother's feet if she demands " he said

"Ah that is because you are sure I will not ask that " I said

"try me " he nodded challengingly.

His eyes looked so true that I couldn't help but smile. I gave him a quick hug and peck on cheeks. He glowed.

"So whats up?!!" I asked with mouthful of food.

" well i.. everyone are going out for picnic and campfire so I thought if you are."

"We will go " I said spontaneously before he could complete his sentence.

"thanks geet." He said smiling " I have never been out like this"

I held his hand that was placed on the table and squeezed it smiling.

"you have to handle my tantrums " I said

"My pleasure."

Everyone was present there. I was glad to see my friends with their spouses I waved to them excitedly. Currently my hands are entwined with his and we walked in the lobby to be greeted by everyone.

"How are you?" Neha asked me

"we met less than 24 hours ago" I said in a duh tone.

" but you are glowing" she said

I rolled my eyes blushing.

"oops you are blushing" she said waving at me.

" who is blushing?" I heard arav ask as he came to stand beside me.

I felt maan stiffen beside me. I looked at him worried but he looked the other way ignoring it. What happened suddenly?

" geet is " sasha beamed.

"really!!" arav looked at me raising his eyebrows.

I hit his arms playfully scolding. He is a true friend and the main strength behind me for confessing to maan yesterday.

"I.. I will be back " maan said walking away towards another group of people.

"with the glow in your face I take that everything is fine." Aarav asked

I winked at him beaming.

" I am glad you are confident with your decision geet " he said

"I am aarav. Maan is good for me , good for us " I said looking down and caress my bump.

"So I get to be uncle arav? " he asked

"Big old uncle Arav " I teased.

"maybe someone is already missing you" he said looking behind me.

I caught maan's reflection from the mirror. I could see his eyes on me though he was talking to someone else.

"guess he needs more attention " I said fake sighing.

" lucky guy" I heard aarav mumble.

I narrowed my eyes but he just shrugged. Ignoring I walked to maan. His hand automatically went around me touching my bump.

"You need anything?" he asked

I nodded no.

"if you are even a percent uncomfortable we will return, okay?"

"I want something" I said looking at him thoughtfully.

"yeah?"

"I want you to stop worrying and enjoy with everyone" I said

"I rather attend to your needs than enjoy silly things" he said

"They aren't silly. It will be so much fun to be around friends and loved ones" I pointed

"You are my loved one geet and I will be happy only if I am around you '

We settled in our place on the tourist bus. I took the window seat to enjoy the view while maan sat beside me. Sasha and neha were in the same bus but don't know where aarv is.

"I am so excited maan" I said " I love picnics like this. So much fun. When me and aarav were young uncle used to take us fishing. Amazing time"

He listened to my stories patiently nodding.

" tell me about yours" I said

He smiled sadly looking at me.

"I have not been on picnics before " he said blankly shrugging.

How can I ask him that when I know he has always been alone. Though I don't know anything about his childhood , I am sure it wasn't very pleasant.

"I am sorry" I said

"don't be, I am glad now you are with me " he said

I held his hand looking out of the window promising myself to make this trip worth to rememeber for him.

Ahhh...Damn cute.!! I am floating reading this update...😳
Finally they are giving themselves a chance..a worth one..and Its amazing...
I love the way they are being so caring towards one another... They do love each other..but yet to ready to accept it...Which is normal under the given circumstances..
Waiting eagerly for the next part...please update soon.! Loved this one.. ⭐️
