I think I figured out what CVs have in mind regarding Imran. I think he is weak minded but positive character. He loved Najma and Najma kind of dumped him in fact. He got frustrated later and at some point in time Tanveer seeing the opportunity tried to get him because of his riches. We know what Tanveer is capable of already so she made Imran think that he is the father of her child. Just the way she did to Asad! Later Haseena put so much pressure on Imran to marry Nikhat for money and he had no other choice but accept This is my story and that is the only way I can explain Imran's behavior. This is an excellent story track idea but based on what we have seen, Imran is just a scumbag. He can't make up his mind about who he wants to be with and can't be honest about it. A few months ago, there was an episode where he was talking to Tanveer and said that he was ready to marry Tanveer because he loved her but she was not ready. Thus he moved on and decided to marry Nikat. Clearly, she did not trap him. Also, based on the way Haseena extorted Nikat's family, Imran does not seem to be from a wealthy family. Haseena and Tanveer are the same types of leeches honestly.

My theory is that the CVs needed to give more screen time to Najma without paying for another lead and thus this. It's a super cheap move.
