Let The Battle Begin!
She slowly lowered herself onto her bed carefully not to touch HIM! OMG what to do? She didn't dare have her skin touch his and on top of it all in her bed but what to do Buaji was insisting she go to bed.
"Move over lest you fall," Buaji scolded her. Khushi hesitantly moved closer to her "sister" (ASR). Khushi slips the name of Arnav, she means Buaji and Buaji thinks she is a crazy girl. Off to bed.
ASR is furious you can see he can't wait to scold our girl but as he turns to look at her he finds a sleeping beauty. Eyes tightly shut. His angry eyes turn into a mesmerizing stare, befuddled by her beauty. If he could only move that small strand of her from her face; his hand subconsciously moving on its own accord but her eyes flash open and she jumps up and scoots over away from him. He must do something, so he scolds her for coming in front of him. She says it was him whom came I fromt of her and he retorts, "Don't think you have won!" Pointed fingers are flying. This scene is so cute. Again tit for tat. The children are playing again. She scolds him and he tells her to just SHUT UP, OK! Such like newly teen bliss. Adorable.
Buaji hears her and calls her from outside her room. She wants to know what she is doing? They look at each other. Uh,oh! I thought they would go under the covers again but instead they somehow get tangled. Khushi's dupatta and his watch don't want them to part. As they are trying to remove the caught material his phone rings causing Khushi to panic that Buaji will hear it. They are stuck together and he can't reach his hand in his pants to get the phone, reach for it Khushi! Blushing!!! She is panicking and finally he tears her dupatta and receives the phone call as Khushi has her famous O face on. It is Akash and he just tells him he is trapped here. He stops her from talking by the famous Bas, talk to the hand pose. I am quite impressed by that move and will have to try that out on my own family.
He walks over to the door and tells her that the one who wins doesn't look all raggedy like she does. He tells her she has lost and have a good year! The competition has begun! He walks out the door.
In the car Akash asks him why he waited there and he says not on his whim but his phone fell.
Payal asks Khushi why Arnav was there and she answers to ruin her New Year ofcourse! Payal notices Khushi's torn frock and asks her about it and Khushi says it is a symbol of her defeat. Payaas a picture of Kushi on hl wants to know how it happened.
Akash sees the torn material on ASR's watch and asks him about it and ASR goes in to a tyrade of how he told her not to come before him this night and he winds up going before her himeself. He is so frustrated at himself right now but blames Akash that it is his entire fault. Then he says it is okay just let it be. He really likes seeing her subconsciously! Akash asks him why it is bothering him so if he doesn't believe in all this superstition and ASR agrees and says it is because Khushi will think she has won.
Kushi explains all to Payal and takes a vow to Devi Maiyya and she will avenge her torn sari. He will be defeated.
Arnav and Kushi you have both been defeated. Devi Maiyya has won; you came before each other to be together forever. Eyes will be made to open and avenged plans will change all because DM will have her way.
Akash apologizes and says he would have taken NK and ASR says guess where NK was?
The men go to confront Nk asking him how his jet lag was and why was he is at Khushi's? A frustrated and jealous Arnav, a somewhat 'stern' and probing Akash and a totally lying and bumbling NK dictated the scene.
The next scene was so despicable; again I hate that man, Shyam and his sneakiness. He has his phone with a picture of Khushi and both him and Anjali have their eyes closed so that when they open them they will see each other at 12 but when he opens his eyes he is staring at the picture of Khushi. So disgusting and poor Anjali, his betrayal is so unfair to her. Arnav comes looking for Anjali. Mamaji told him what happened and he and Shyam agree she has been careless. Shyam tells him he doesn't have to worry because he is there. Oh yeah right, you are the culprit Shyam! Anjali tries to allay Arnav's fears and tells him to take a deep breath. She asks him if he was out at a party? He thinks of Khushi gets frustrated and says good night.
Kushi is hanging clothes on the line and comes to her torn frock. Buaji sees it, she scolds her for wearing a torn dress on New Years and Khushi says this does not mean she is defeated; she will not be defeated.
Kushi gathers them all together in the living room and is talking about the Sangeet and how they will compete. They think she is crazy. They will win she says she will not be defeated.
