Hailla 😲 ... I can't believe that you guys are still waiting for me to update😆! Well , this is all I've got!
CHAPTER 5 :
" Unfortunately , things don't always go according to plan!" , he sighed. Uday stood in his balcony , watching the hustle and bustle going on , down below ... whilst sipping on his mug of steaming coffee. His life was turned upside-down , inside-out by 2 people ; for different reasons. Giriraj "damaged" his beloved and pushed him into an unwanted marriage ... and Manyata - she has built a concrete wall around her heart and is not allowing Uday entry. It was so easy for Neetu Maasi to tell him to woo her niece all over again ... but in actuality - he had a better chance of surviving a walk through a mine-field than getting Manyata to admit SHE LOVED him TOO.
2 months have passed ... but his progress was still below zero. A visit to Manyata's doctor , Dr Karan Malhotra; lifted his hopes when the physician told that Manyata's condition was not a permanent one. "She had to undergo vigorous physio-therapy to bring back the feelings in her legs ... but because of a lack of finance , her problem became a 'permanent' one", he told Uday.
"Is it too late to start now? ", Uday asked . "No - NEVER too late for anything ; however it will take a bit longer - to regain the ability of her legs!", he replied. But now , the most important question was : "will Manyata accept financial help from Uday in order to get her recovery back on track?" He shook his head ... "Of-course , SHE WOULDN'T!"
He wanted to take her to the movies , to the theatre , to the ballet ... wherever she wished to go , he could make it happen in the click of a finger. But she wasn't giving a chance ... not even a tiny one!" "Who said flowers and chocolates work wonders?" , he shook his head as he remembered the many bouquets he sent , being forwarded back to him. And when he refused to take it back , it would be in the trash outside Manyata's flat. The poor chocolates too,were also dealt the same fate.
Uday bought them (Komal and Manyata) a beautiful condo and asked them to move in there ... alas ; that also turned out to be a bad move. Komal looked helplessly at him , as Manyata tore the condo's lease into tiny squares . Now , Uday is residing there ... ALONE! It was impossible to live in the same house as his father and when Manyata rejected his gift , he decided to take it himself. "I wish u were here with me Manyata ... you'd love it , and I'm sure being in this beautiful atmosphere ; you'd recover a lot faster!" ,he said as if he were talking to her.

"He's gone ... has that made a difference to you? " Giriraj barked at Jai. "Just a minor setback Dad" , she said calmly ... too calmly for Giriraj's liking. "Your husband has moved out ... and very soon THAT GIRL will be there, in that house, with him ... DAMMIT JAI , I THOUGHT U HAD A PLAN!" , Giriraj screamed at her. "Dad , why are we ALWAYS having this conversation ... TRUST ME , I know what I'm doing." , she reassured him and walked out.

"This better be good" , Jai told to a scruffy looking man , while holding a glass vial in her hand. " Yes , my lady ... it's the best!" " The antidote?" , he held up another vial to her. "Don't be ridiculous ... why would I need THAT?" , Jai questioned. "In case the WRONG PERSON got poisoned" , the man replied.
"I'll be handling the poison , WHICH MEANS THE CORRECT PERSON WILL GET IT!" , she smirked to him. She opened her purse and took of a thick wad of notes and paid him for the favour. He walked away hurriedly with a limp. "Manyata ... even WITHOUT BEING IN MY HUSBAND'S LIFE ... YOU ARE IN MINE!!!!!!!! It's time to say good-bye!" , she said wickedly.

A knock on the door disturbed Uday's thoughts ... " What do u want?" , he asked the guest. "I just wanted to see if ... " "If WHAT? ... If I'm alone or not ... if Manyata is with me or not" , he told bluntly.
He shut his eyes and took in a deep breath , calming himself : "I'm sorry , I shouldn't have offloaded on you" , Uday apologised. "It's fine Uday , I understand ... I know how hard you're trying ... BUT MAYBE IT'S NOT MEANT TO BE!", Jai smiled to herself.
"Maybe I don't have to use that poison after all ... with the state Uday is at the moment ; I JUST HAVE TO BE ME!" , she thought. She placed her purse on the couch and walked to Uday who had gone back to his position on the balcony. " Relax Uday , it's gonna take time ... stop pressurising yourself . If u want; I'll talk to her!" , she whispered seductively to him. He closed his eyes and shook his head ...: " Thanks Jai , but I need to do this MYSELF."
"As u wish!" , she started massaging his shoulders sensually. " Uff , you're so tensed!" . Slowly she kneaded the knots in his muscles.From his shoulders , she gently eased her way to inside his shirt ... caressing his well toned torso. Uday was exhausted from the 2 month marathon he was running ... THE MARATHON OF TRYING TO WIN OVER MANYATA. His mind and body was strengthless and Jai knew how to manipulate a situation to her advantage.
"We'll get her for you Uday" , she barely mumbled the words as she started running her tongue down his neck , nibbling in between. Unconsciously his hands grabbed her waist and pulled her nearer to him. Their hearts were pounding hard and their distance was decreasing ... then their lips touched.
