After Mohan's fall shattered the family, Megha has come to Mumbai in search of Rimjhim's birth parents, to fulfil the little one's birthday wish. In Mumbai's Ganesh Chawl, we have seen a bunch of new characters around Megha, all of whom have a part to play in Megha's life. Let's decode the new characters in Na Bole Tum-2
Ruku- Ruku is a firebrand who talks non-stop and is a nuisance for the chawl residents for the most part. The daughter of Sridhar Vaidya and his wife, she derives most of her power from her proximity to Aai and Vasu (more on them later). Ruku threatens everyone with Vasu's name, and is crazy about him, a fact that is very evident. Since she is normally used to getting her way, Megha's resistance makes her a much hated character in Ruku's life.
Sridhar Vaidya- Megha's landlord and the only voice of reason around, Sridhar Vaidya is a typical middle class resident of the chawl. Even though he is sensible, his voice is almost always drowned out in the noise of his wife and daughter's arguments. He seems to sympathize with Megha, and tries to help her whenever he can.
Jyotibha Vaidya- Sridhar Vaidya's wife and Ruku's mother, she is pretty money minded and dominating. She wants the best for her daughter Ruku, which means that she wants her to gain influence by being in Aai's company. She is not particularly fond of Megha, and tries to keep Megha in check at every opportunity that she can.
Aai- The matriarch of Ganesh Chawl, she has tremendous influence in not only the chawl, but also Mumbai's world of crime. She uses her influence to convince people to do her bidding, and people generally come to her for help. She reserves the softest corner of her heart for Vasu, to whom she wants to pass on her kingdom of crime.
Vasu- He is called the 'God of Ganesh Chawl' by Ruku, and she doesn't seem to be too far off the mark. A rising figure in Mumbai's underworld, Vasu handles all of Aai's smuggling business and more. He keeps his friends and enemies both on a tight leash, using force and violence whenever necessary. He is magnetically drawn towards new entrant in the chawl, Megha. And oh, he also looks exactly like Mohan Bhatnagar.
Baala- Vasu's right hand man and most trusted sidekick, Baala follows Vasu around like a shadow. Baala is playful and short tempered in parts, and is one of the only people who is allowed to joke around with Vasu. Vasu also shows Baala his place whenever he oversteps his boundaries. Baala also has a crush on Ruku, and keeps trying to flirt with her, with little success.
Mama- Mama is the trusted aide of Aai, and his sweet tongue belies what he actually thinks of Aai and Vasu. He has been with Aai for a long time and is trusted by her, but Vasu has his doubts about him. And with good reason, as Mama is not too happy about Vasu inheriting Aai's business which he thinks he has worked for.
With all these new characters, especially Vasu, entering Megha's life, her life is all set to be drawn into the web of their relationships. And while she is looking for Rimjhim's parents, she also has to grapple with Vasu's uncanny resemblance to Mohan and his puzzling behaviour towards her. How do you think will change Megha's life?
