what status do females have n our society/religion

I really wonder what power and rights do female have..is it our duty to play a slave or servant ..without opening our mouth..why is their a double standard for for man and woman..is this gods plan..???

What are ur vieuw on this??

it all depends on a man and woman. if both a husband and wife are understanding towards each other they will remain happily forever.

please dont thinkk woman has to be dependant on man. nothing like that. even man is equally dependant on woman.

i ve seen my dad. for each and every task of his he needs his mom.
take my example. i cannot even dream of living without my mother. i love them more than anyone else.

both hubby and wife need to support each other in every aspect of life.

i agree that crimes like rape acid attacks etc are on a rise. strong laws are made and these criminals are being punished. they should be hanged to death. evil needs to be punished at any cost.

there are crimes against men as well like fake dowry case torture for alimony. watch savadhan India on Life OK you'll know.

evil is just evil and needs to be punished whatever its gender.

it may take time but slowly women are coming up in the soceity and are gaining equal status as men infact sometimes satus above men.

In some society now a days women still have a lower status.. and aren't equeal.. sad but true. But I think in the most society women now are getting more rights and respect. For me men and women are equeal.

What I have seen so far in our nation is that people have gravely misunderstood many teachings for humans, which ultimately got divided into one for man and women and they have messed it up big time!
Its in our power to know the sapiential meaning of what we call as our scriptures.. and many a times we take it or were believed into taking them as superstitions!

One of many examples is we where forbidden from going near tress at night time as they'll be ghosts was just to scare people (lay men may be) who couldn't understand the science..the science behind this was just simple as it was..not going near tress at night time as they emit CO2 then..which obviously was far beyond explanation then, but now we know why it was said then.
And the one I found out lately, is women are prohibited from going to temple orr worship places during their cycle, was just the scientific reason!
It made sense, as a women would have all the mood swings n irritability during the time and when she happens to go near the temple her vibes n energy would be
double-up in the same vibe she is in..which would/ may cause disturbance in the pattens in a house n people dwelling in it. All this was in some yug not Kalyug, that people would take a minute and understand it.. instead the concept got mistaken and ultimately tagging women as impure or less.

The attitude is deep rooted and might take a while to wash it completely from the minds..

@ on a now-a-day note I totally blame it on society which includes all of us, we have an equal responsibility and should need a gut to be accountable to come out of
our comfort zones and repair this mess

Kahen aur nai jana hai we need to empower nai toh at least respect and educate our maids, their kids most of all our own kids.. as they say 'service begins at home'.

As for the Society- Its plagued with selfish self-centerd freaks n laziness! NO one wants to take the responsibility and be patient to see neither its result or repercussions. I knw its easy for me or anyone else for that matter to blame or tag, but no one can deny or conceal the facts!

And of course,we should practice zero tolerance for abuse against woman..for a long time.. not for a month or an year for a change- to see the change.

The solution I think is, we need to discipline ourselves our next gen n the ones to come... and set ourselves as examples so as to maintain righteousness.
At our own homes we need to honour each other- be men or women or the others, its then we sow the seed of a good future of the family n society.
We all the answers are with us.. we just need to contemplate over it.

I'd quite it as..

hi rishi..thanks for ur comment..yes man and woman are equal..but sum people simply forgot this fact..am very happy that young man are positive changing their vieuws on woman too..like people said ..education is power..

Society in india a is male dominated society due to fact of all the killing of the female fetuses.
In a society when the population to male to female ratio is not equal and when male out number female, societies moods then tend s to be male dominated. In Indian culture values are passed down by parent , extended family to kids and interpretation of stories, So parents are to blame. I am indian born male raised in U.S from a young age, but i have traditional values and but with my own interpretation of stories. Look at DKDM CV they are MahaDev cetnric but even to the cost of consort. Goddess Pavarati is shown in a more subjugated role. Where we know that in the books that Goddess Paravati is the biggest feminist in three world and loving mother.

Per my values i read that in order to please Lord Vishnu you have to please Goddess Laxmi to please Narayan. Goddess Laxmi is a mother to Lord Vishnu devotees and she loves here children and she is also considered a feminist. I believe the same goes for shaviates as Pleasing goddess paravati is like pleasing lord shiva.
