Jalal likes change and with Jodha he has experienced fascination,attraction and a certain mixture of other emotions towards here.There's a saying you cant have a cake if you eat it well Jalal wants the cake and he wants to eat it.
Jodha has sparked some unknown emotions that i dnt think even Jalal realise.Since he is a brutal and heartless Emperor/Warrior never a lover he used that as a shield or some sort of way to understand his feelings.
He doesnt know what he is feeling so he uses the emotions he is used to as a way to sort of understand this emotions.Its kinda a shield he puts on so he wont have to face the new changes in his life so he gives it another name.
Love at first sight is now revenge for him because that is the only think he knows right now.
