Manthan gets a new face

Vishal Vatwani will replace Amit Tandon as Manthan in Kyunki...

After Hiten Tejwani replaced Cezanne Khan in Kasauti Zindagii Kay, it is Vishal Vatwani who is all set to replace Amit Tandon aka Manthan in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.

Vishal is quite ecstatic about the prospect of working in Kyunki... He says, "I have watched the serial a few times before, and I liked the gregariousness of the character. This personality trait of his makes him different from the other characters in Kyunki... Amit played the character very well. But, I am going to play the character in my own way."

So, is he going to flaunt his body like Amit in the serial? "Well, things will not be exactly the same. But given a chance, I have no problem in wearing a vest and showing off my physique like Amit in the serial," he says.

Amit Tandon, who is in the US, is a married man now. When contacted, he said, "I think, they have replaced me in the serial. I did not leave the show, but I guess they needed the character in the serial, so they have replaced me."

So, will he back in other serials? "I will come back to Mumbai in the first week of February. Then, I will be busy with my music album, so I won't get enough time for any show. But, if I get a promising role, I will accept the offer," he said.
